Two more WWE Superstars who were recently sick or quarantined

WWE.com

As mentioned in our post on Roman Reigns’ decision not to work WrestleMania 36, The Miz has been sick recently. PWInsider reports Miz’ illness not only led to Roman opting out of his scheduled match, but it also means the SmackDown Tag Team champs won’t be wrestling on the April 4 - 5 broadcast.

The Usos and The New Day taped a match for SmackDown tonight (Mar. 27) which was to determine who would challenge John Morrison & The Miz at WrestleMania. Plans for that will have to change.

More concerning is whatever’s ailing Miz, and when he came down with it. Dave Meltzer’s report from Wrestling Observer Radio specifies there’s been no confirmation Miz contracted coronavirus or even what his symptoms are. But he has been at the Performance Center where WWE is doing most of their taping, and even worked a match with Heavy Machinery on last Friday’s show.

The other Superstar whose ‘Mania match may be in question is Bobby Lashley. After a promotional trip earlier this month to promote WWE’s (since postponed) April 29 - May 2 tour of South Africa, Lashley was quarantined. That’s a standard precaution these days after international travel.

It’s not clear whether he filmed the match with Aleister Black which was announced on Monday, but this explains the lack of build for it.

This makes five Superstars we know of who’ve been off shows due to precaution or illness: Dana Brooke, Rey Mysterio, Roman Reigns, The Miz, and Bobby Lashley.
