WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 25
Quick intro about Triple H coming to deal with Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano’s issues, then Tom Phillips & Byron Saxton welcome us to an empty Full Sail.
Austin Theory vs. Tyler Breeze
Theory brought his phone, and takes a selfie before Breeze’s entrance to mock his opponent. Tyler is introduced as hailing from one of his seasonal entrances for the first time I can remember in a long time.
Lock-up. Breeze holds his own for a second but gets shoved to the ropes. Austin mocks Tyler as the past (because he’s the future, and this is his ring) after the break. After a second break, Theory mocks Prince Pretty’s corner pose. That fires him up and he gets in some offense on the “youngblood”. Theory gets a boot up on a charge and then two off a blockbuster. Another cover after a snap suplex. There’s no replacement for crowd noise, but the wrestlers are doing a lot of talking. Theory drop kicks Tyler to the outside and we go to commercial.
Prince Pretty catches Austin with some kicks of his own as soon as we return. Two running forearms, but Theory dodges the third and catches Breeze on his shoulders when he goes for an enziguri off the ropes. Spinout powerbomb gets two. Theory drags Breeze to the floor, asking Tyler if he wants to take a picture. He ignores the count and throws Breeze through the barricade. He breaks the count, then Tyler just barely beat the next one. Breeze almost stacks him up, but then gets buckle bombed. He rebounds with a Supermodel Kick, but Theory survives. Breeze hits an enziguri from the apron and heads up top, but the younger wrestler bumps the ropes and slams him down for two.
Theory is mumbling to himself about Breeze calling him a flash in the pan as he stomps Tyler down. He retrieves his phone while the ref checks on Prince Pretty. he’s videoing what he hopes will be the finish, but that lets Breeze slip off his shoulders to hit the Beauty Shot.

After some hype for Adam Cole’s celebration, another commercial, then another match!
Killian Dain vs. Tehuti Miles
Dain drives the military vet and Maryland football player into the corner at the bell. Miles brags about being too fast for the big Irishman, and proves it for a second, but gets caught and thrown down. Dain pump kicks him off the apron, then tosses into the steps and the barricade until Killian throws him back in to break the count. More offense, then a two count off a suplex. Tehuti tries to punch free, but gets suplexed again. Eventually he gets a boot up on a charge and avoids a follow-up. Strikes and drop kicks, but Dain won’t go down. Slam, senton, Vader Bomb... that’s it.

Another reminder Trips is here, then another break. More matches!
Cameron Grimes vs. Tony Nese
Solid grappling at the open. The former Cruiserweight champ controls this, getting a nearfall in the midst of it. Grimes sidesteps a charge and drops Nese throat-first on the ropes. Cameron in control for a while until Nese rolls through a sunset flip and kicks Grimes in the face. More kicks, then he pulls the North Carolinian face first into the ropes. He gets two off a follow-up springboard moonsault. Superkick gives Tony the idea to go for Running Nese, but he gets a forearm for his trouble. Cave In follows.

The ladies are up next, but first, more commercials! We get a reminder about the angle where Xia Li “broke” Aliyah’s nose a couple months ago.
Io Shirai Xia Li vs. Aliyah
The Bougie One is out without Vanessa Borne, which makes sense given the “prevailing circumstances”. But then we see Xia crying and holding her leg backstage.
Aliyah lobbies for a DQ win, but Greg Hamilton informs us there is someone here who’s cleared... Io Shirai!
The Genius of the Sky gets an early advantage, but Aliyah get a little offense in before a backbreaker and a top rope moonsault quickly wraps it up.
Io Shirai def. Aliyah via pinfall to earn entry into the #1 contender ladder match
After a commercial, we get a quick teaser for Dexter Lumis (TNA’s Sam Shaw). Then the North American champ enters for an interview with Jon Quasto. Keith Lee is asked what happened when he Spirit Bombed Dominik Dijakovic after beating Cameron Grimes and being attacked by Damian Priest. He explains it was a mistake and says he owes Double-D an apology. That brings out Dijakovic.
He doesn’t care about the apology, he wants a title shot. They’re about to beef a bit when Priest arrives. He asks about Dominik’s knee and Lee’s back, then asks for a title shot. He doesn’t want the belt, but what it brings - more money, more women, more fame. Keith tells them to bring it, and Damian gets out his nightstick and walks to the ring. Dijakovic shoves Lee out of the way and stomps on Priest. The champ shoves him back, things break down, and the scene ends with Double-D taking out both men with a dive.
More ads, then the champ is here BAY BAY.
The champ is poolside on vacation. While there, Adam Cole was thinking about how Velveteen Dream got to him the last few weeks. But then he realized, the longest reigning NXT champ, the man who won the first ever WarGames in NXT doesn’t get flustered. Dream hasn’t earned a shot at him, but his Undisputed ERA boys are itching to experience the Experience. So Bobby Fish is set to face Dream in the coming weeks. And that will prove he doesn’t deserve a shot at Cole’s belt.
Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
Vink starts with Burch while the announcers remind us the Aussies were on Raw against Street Profits on Monday. The size gives Danny problems, and he gets isolated in the heel corner pretty quickly. Burch gets free with some British grappling, and Thorne is in trouble when Oney gets in. Shane blasts Burch off the apron and gets the tag, then Vink with a massive STO on Lorcan. Now Oney’s in peril, but that doesn’t last long either. Maniac lariats from Lorcan and both men get tags. Burch grabs Vink for a cutter. More offense than Danny locks in the crossface. Oney stops Thorne from breaking the tag and gets a half crab as both their opponents tap at the same time.
Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch def. Shane Thorne & Brendan Vink via submission
Candice LeRae vs. Kayden Carter
LeRae with the first takedown. It’s back-and-forth with each wrestler mirroring moves prompt a standoff and Candice offers a hand, which is taken. The first meaningful cover comes when Carter hits a back kick off the ropes right to LeRae’s face. Candice fights back for a cover of her own, but Kayden moves away from the senton. Running knee gets two for Carter, then LeRae fights back. Garga-No Escape is fought off, but senton hits. Moonsault misses, but LeRae is able to get her family submission locked in on the second try.
Candice LeRae def. Kayden Carter via submission
The ladder match is in two weeks, and there’s still one spot open.
Matt Riddle vs. Roderick Strong
Riddle fist bumps some imaginary fans on his way to the ring. Roddy is very proud of himself for nailing the BOOM in the ERA’s entrance all by himself.
They roll like this was a BJJ gym. The Bro gets an advantage with moves like a gutwrench suplex; Roddy ducks between the ropes a few times to get a moment. Strong eventually traps the right arm and hits some Muay Thai knees to the ribs. Big striking exchange, and Roddy lifts Riddle and drops him mid-section first on the top rope as we got to a break.
Roddy in control when we return, but Bro nails a series of kicks. Pele put Strong down. Running forearms and a Broton, but Roddy catches a PK attempt and locks in a Boston Crab. Riddle gets free, Bro 2 Sleep! Bridging German! 1, 2, NO!
Strong slips out of Bro Derek. Running high knee, followed by an Olympic Slam for a nearfall. Bro sidesteps the high knee, but gets caught by it a second later. Running forearms while Matt is in the ropes, but he catches Roddy on one. Bro Derek connects!
Matt Riddle def. Roderick Strong via pinfall
Two guys run in to attack, and it’s not Undisputed. Two big, long-haired bruisers. They beat down Riddle, and here comes Malcom Bivens! He doesn’t tell us who his clients are, but he does say he wanted to introduce Matt to the future of the tag team division.
A rundown of next week’s card, including a second chance gauntler match for the final spot in the #1 contender featuring the women who missed out on their first try (and Xia Li, who was taken out before she could). Keith Lee will also defend his NA titles in a Triple Threat against Dominik Dijakovic AND Damian Priest.
Triple H is out to address Ciampa & Gargano. He can barely start touting their rivalry when Tommaso’s music hits. He basically says let’s cut to the chase and get Johnny out here. Hunter says there will be no physicality, but he agrees.
Gargano is here to complain about being fined for destroying the PC when it was Tommaso’s fault. Ciampa even dove through a window to try to get away from him! Triple H says if it was up to William Regal, they’d both be fired. But he wanted to give them this opportunity, but he wanted to give them one more chance - but there will be no physicality.
Haitch gets it. There will come a day when they’ll look back on what they had, but now he knows they need to end. And it should end on the biggest stage of them all. Both men interrupt him, saying they don’t need anything but a ring, a ref, and a cameraman. It’s about who is the face of this company, who’s the heart-and-soul of NXT.
He offers them a chance to end it now then, but Johnny says he needs two weeks. Triple H says he’ll find an empty building, give them a ref, and they’ll end it. And if it continues past then, he’ll fire both of them. Trips is gonna send them the location, and it’ll be over.
They close with some final promises to win, and then Killer Kross’ video plays. We clearly see his face as all three men look up the big screen as our screens fades to black... and that’s the show!
