There have been reports that while WWE will tape the majority of WrestleMania 36 at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, the company would also utilize off site locations for certain matches. It’s unclear how exactly that will work, but we got our first big hint on Monday Night Raw this week.
AJ Styles challenged Undertaker to a BONEYARD match.
No one knows exactly what a boneyard match is, including Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton at the Raw commentary desk, who repeatedly said they had no idea what Styles was talking about. It’s probably a safe assumption to take it literally, and Styles vs. Undertaker will be filmed in a cemetary.
Prepare the field for battle!
It may also be safe to assume victory will be achieved like in a Buried Alive match, but those questions have yet to be answered. There’s plenty of time for all that. For now, we get to look forward to yet another history making match at a show that will never be forgotten.
For better or worse.
