Daniel Bryan thinks he’s done being a full-time wrestler

WWE.com

On the latest episode of The Bellas Podcast, Daniel Bryan sat down with Brie and Nikki and talked about how much he loves being a father. He and Brie will have their second child later this year, and that has Bryan seriously thinking about his future in pro wrestling:

“WWE has been great. They’re gonna give me six weeks paternity leave, which so few places in the United States do that. So I’ll get to be home that first six weeks. But then after that, it’s not long until my contract is up. We’ve been talking about what we do from there. To me, in my mind, it’s almost like, I think I’m just done being a full-time wrestler.”

“I love being a dad. I will always love wrestling, and I always want to do wrestling. But when I say always do wrestling, that means maybe once a month or once every couple months.”

It’s wonderful that Bryan has found a new passion in life. But if you happen to be bummed out by the idea of Bryan’s full-time wrestling career wrapping up soon, I’m pretty sure that we can turn that frown upside down. That’s because Bryan also talked about his wardrobe malfunction at Elimination Chamber during his match against Drew Gulak.

Bryan had no idea on the night of the event that it even happened. But then he heard about it the next morning.

“When I got two text messages from people saying like, ‘Dude, I saw your balls!’, I was like, what? I didn’t know what was going on. So your first reaction is a little bit of embarrassment. But then I just thought it was funny. Because for example, if your boobs come out...traditionally men are like, ‘Boobs! Yay!’ I didn’t see when I looked on social media, nobody said ‘Balls! Yay!’”

“People sexualize it for you guys, whereas for me, and I wish it wasn’t this way, but it’s just like a ball out. Nobody’s like, oh I want to see some pictures of balls.”

“[Nowhere] in my entire life have I ever been a sex icon, so maybe I can be the face of balls becoming sexy.”

“You just take this one thing that happens to both men and women. It happens to a guy, it’s either funny or insignificant. And it happens to a woman, and it’s a completely different thing.”

Brie confirmed that Bryan’s balls are indeed sexy, in case you needed some closure on that story.

It’s very possible that Bryan’s wardrobe malfunction at Elimination Chamber served as the inspiration for the fun he’s having with Drew Gulak on Twitter sharing blue ball squeezing techniques with each other. This man is a treasure.
