Edge kicked off the latest bizarre episode of WWE television on Monday Night Raw this week with a promo for Randy Orton, spoken directly into the camera.
It was fantastic.
The new wrinkle in the story is that, well, Beth Phoenix came back a couple weeks ago to retire for Edge a second time. He was going to hang it up one more time but Orton never let her get to the part where she announced as much, instead interrupting her and ultimately hitting her with an RKO.
That made Edge’s decision easy: he not only will not be retiring (again), but he’s challenging Orton to a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36 on April 5, 2020, at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
