WrestleMania moving to WWE Performance Center

The rest of the week is cancelled, but The Showcase of the Immortals will go as scheduled - in a new location and with no fans in attendance.

WWE on Fox’s Twitter

WWE has announced that WrestleMania 36 will not take place in Tampa. Instead, the show is moving to their Performance Center in Orlando.

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

Presumably, the NXT TakeOver scheduled for Sat., April 4 will also move to the PC, but that’s not yet been spelled out. Axxess is certainly cancelled altogether. The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony could be moved, perhaps to SummerSlam week this August in Boston.
