Early last year, John Cena was featured on an episode of “205 Life”, a backstage video series the WWE cruiserweights were doing to try to get more people to check out their weekly network show.
Unfortunately, neither those videos or Cena’s support seemed to do much for 205 Live’s fortunes. The show persists, though, filming most weeks after SmackDown. Including last night (Mar. 13), from an empty Performance Center. And with their #1 fan John in attendance.
The man who dubbed himself a “near cruiserweight” made the most of the opportunity, checking out the action from a seat he wouldn’t have been able to on a normal show.
Last night, @JohnCena got to do something he longed to do for awhile, watch @WWE205Live LIVE from the audience! #205Live pic.twitter.com/9dtynXAIuv

Pretty cool. It means a lot to the cruiserweights, too. Guys like Cedric Alexander and Ariya Daivari have already retweeted the video and commented on what the patronage of one of the biggest stars in wrestling history means to them.
We’ll see if he picked up anything watching the five-on-five in Orlando. If he did... watch out for a Spanish Fly at WrestleMania, Bray Wyatt!
