John Cena is starring in the upcoming movie Fast & Furious 9, which was originally scheduled to open in theaters on May 22, 2020. The trailer that was released earlier this year showed Cena playing the role of a villainous master thief and assassin, who also happens to be a high performance driver. Cena is portraying the brother of Vin Diesel’s lead character, Dominic Toretto.
For those of you who have been waiting so many years to see John Cena finally turn heel, it turns out that you’re going to have to wait at least one more year. The scheduled release date has been pushed back to April 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Considering how disruptive the coronavirus has been worldwide, this is par for the course.
With the release date pushed back to April 2021, Cena might have to show up next year at WrestleMania 37 (Mar. 28, 2021) to help promote this blockbuster movie, and once again pretend that he isn’t taking a WrestleMania spot from a deserving full-time member on the WWE roster.
