Big Show addresses many rumors, including WrestleMania matches with Shaquille O’Neal and Hulk Hogan

WWE released the above video where Big Show confirms and debunks various internet rumors surrounding him throughout his career.

He confirms that it was “heavily talked about” in the offices that he was supposed to be matched up with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 23 in 2007. He also says that he was supposed to fight Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 33, but the people above him in the chain couldn’t put the match together.

He shot down the idea that Vince McMahon promised him a WWE championship reign or WrestleMania main event as part of his contract negotiations:

“That’s ridiculous. Vince doesn’t put shit like that in the contract.”

“This business is about making money and making stars, not title runs and ‘Mania opportunities. I can’t believe anyone that I ever worked with would ever ask for something that stupid.”

It’s a fun video where Big Show addresses a bunch of other rumors, including his days as a high school cheerleader, being scolded by veterans in WCW for doing a moonsault, why his run with The Bar dissolved so quickly, how he lobbied to be the Undertaker’s stalker (that eventually turned out to be DDP) in 2001, and whether or not he was considered to be the guy who ran over Steve Austin with a car in 2000.
