Things haven’t gone well at all for Ricochet over the last two weeks. He was squashed by Brock Lesnar in a WWE championship match at Super ShowDown, getting zero offense in on the Beast. A few days later on Raw he couldn’t beat Riddick Moss for the 24/7 title, a title that is generally chased by jobbers. Ricochet wasn’t even on Raw this week; he instead wrestled on Main Event against Eric Young. It’s hard to argue against the idea that Ricochet is being buried by Vince McMahon.
On WWE Backstage, AJ Styles recently discussed both Ricochet and Cedric Alexander’s rough booking of late. Styles focused on the fact that wrestling is a job and so things are great as long as the bills are being paid. He believes that Ricochet will be on the way back up soon, and that it’s important to just do the best you can with what creative gives you. You can check out a detailed transcript of AJ’s thoughts over at Fightful.
Ricochet seemed to echo Styles’ sentiment in the following tweet:
Okay, I just want to say everyone should be happy that I get to perform for you all every week. Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter to me in what capacity. So let’s celebrate that and not dwell on anything else. #LifeIsGreat

I’m sure that will be the end of it and nobody will ever complain about Ricochet’s booking again, at least until next week’s Raw.
When do you think Ricochet will be on the way back up, Cagesiders?
