Velveteen Dream showed up before The Undisputed ERA’s match with The BroserWeights on Mar. 11. He threw Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish off their game before they attempted to win the NXT Tag titles for a fourth time, but that was just a side-benefit.
The real prize was revealing to Adam Cole & Roderick Strong that his feud with Roddy was just a means to an end. Dream didn’t really care about Strong’s wife & son. He was just the easiest TUE member to goad into a cage match where Velveteen could get closer to his real goal - taking the NXT title from Cole.
Dream, like many fans, wants that match to happen at TakeOver: Tampa on Sat., April 5. That’s not booked yet, but it might be after next Wednesday. That’s when Cole is throwing himself a party to celebrate becoming the longest reigning NXT champ in history.

That will go smoothly, I’m sure.
Also next week, Candice LeRae and Mercedes Martinez will face off with the fourth spot in TakeOver’s #1 contenders ladder match on the line.
