For the second straight week, Dominik Dijakovic defeated a fellow NXT hoss. Last week it was Damian Priest. Tonight (Feb. 5), it was Killian Dain.
Dijakovic has been on a quest to resume the rivalry he and Keith Lee put on hold for WarGames. The big Croatian-American thinks he should be the first to challenge his frenemy for the North American title.
After he beat Dain, General Manager William Regal agreed.
I’ve been in NXT for 3 long years.

I’ve paid every conceivable “due.”
I’ve sacrificed everything to get to this moment.
I deserve it. pic.twitter.com/yHW13vPJCP
The latest clash between these two titans brings the card for Sun., Feb. 16’s TakeOver: Portland to six:
- Tommaso Ciampa vs. Adam Cole (c) for the NXT championship
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Bianca Belair for the NXT Women’s title
- Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano
- The Broserweights (Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne) vs. Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) (c) for the NXT Tag Team championship
- Keith Lee (c) vs. Dominik Dijakovic for the NXT North American title
- Tegan Nox vs. Dakota Kai in a street fight
Since we’re already over the normal five matches, it looks like NXT will be treating their first Sunday TakeOver like a Raw/SmackDown brand PPV. After tonight, a Jordan Devlin/Angel Garza Cruiserweight title bout, and a Roderick Strong vs/ Velveteen Dream rematch both seem like likely candidates for Portland.
Thoughts?
