John Morrison says he doesn’t have specific accomplishments in mind for his return to WWE. He wants to focus on being better in the ring and cementing his legacy as an innovative worker.
But at Super ShowDown in Riyadh, he added to his resume, and he used a steel chair to do it. Not that innovative. But The Miz & Morrison are still your new SmackDown Tag Team champions.
The most noteworthy spot of a good, lengthy match came when The New Day’s Kofi Kingston went for a back drop over the top rope to the floor. Miz sidestepped him though and, well, there’s no way to gimmick this bump.
HOW is @TrueKofi still going after this?! #WWESSD pic.twitter.com/VZkLrykIsz

Kofi did keep going after that. But with Big E neutralized by a Skullcrushing Finale, Morrison caught Kingston in the breadbasket with that chair we mentioned earlier. His A-List partner grabbed a handful of tights on his cover, and that was that.
Eleven years after they least held WWE pairs gold, The Dirt Sheet are your new SmackDown Tag Team champions.
