Report: Samoa Joe injured while filming a commercial

WWE.com

The main event of this week’s (Feb. 17) episode of Raw was a 6-man tag team match pitting Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders against Murphy and AOP. Considering Samoa Joe’s role in that storyline, his absence from Raw stood out. Joe just returned from injury the previous week, and he’s already left off television? Well, it turns out there is a reason to explain his absence.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Samoa Joe suffered an injury while filming a commercial. According to the report, Joe’s head was injured while performing a stunt that involved breaking a table.

This is the latest in a series of recent injuries for Joe. He spent some time on the Raw commentary desk late last year while recovering from a thumb injury. He returned to action by the start of 2020, only to suffer an injury reported to be a concussion towards the end of January. Joe returned on the Feb. 10 episode of Raw, and now he is injured again.

Hopefully better luck will come Joe’s way when he returns to the ring.
