Carmella won a Fatal 4-Way match last week to give her a shot at the SmackDown women’s championship this week. WWE wasted no time getting to it, kicking off this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown with “A Moment of Bliss” that led right on into Carmella vs. Bayley.
And still.
They put together what may not have been a great match but was absolutely a good one. They teased a title change multiple times, and there were at least two near falls that I, and the fans in the arena, bought into as the actual finish.
The actual finish was Bayley, relishing her role as the villain, using leverage from the ropes to pin Carmella to retain her title.

After, Bayley attacked Carmella once more and held the title up over her head in celebration. That was when Naomi’s music hit and she hit the ring to confront the champ. The two babyfaces teamed up and quickly took Bayley out.
Now there are two top contenders.
