Like many wrestling fans, I’ve long struggled with sports entertainer Randy Orton’s on-screen work. Undeniably gifted and capable of delivering great moment, his resumé is unimpeachable. But flashes of brilliance are followed by paint-by-numbers stretches, and when you’ve been a fixture on television for as long as the third-generation wrestler has, it’s easy to only remember the periods where Orton’s coasting.

Randy Orton, the person, on the other hand, has undergone a remarkable face turn in my and many others’ eyes over the course of 2020. I’ve been in love with Baby Yoda since last fall, but this year I think I fell in love with Randy Orton.
