The drawn out United States election has captured the world’s attention all week, and it continued to be a force in the overnight ratings on Fri., Nov. 6. But that didn’t stop SmackDown from continuing to improve its numbers.

Good shows and a couple of hot champions in Roman Reigns & Sasha Banks are proving to be a winning formula for Fox and WWE. The blue brand delivered its biggest audience since Sept. 11 - and second biggest since the WrestleMania 36 fallout episode - last night a two hour average of 2.21 million.

SmackDown also won the night outright in both the 18 - 34 and 18 -49 year old demos, outperforming the election coverage on Fox’s major competitors in the ratings.

And here’s our running tracker of overnight numbers for the new season, but you can access the tab of year one numbers here (all data still via Showbuzz Daily).

The Boss is draw, y’all. Long may she (and Roman) rein.
