Pat McAfee’s ‘Kings of NXT’ sure do hate babyface comedy tag teams

New, comments

Pat McAfee put together his British-American supergroup to take out Undisputed ERA, and so far so good on that front. But Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and now Pete Dunne have also done quite a number on NXT’s funniest tag teams.

First Burch & Lorcan (with an assist from Pat Mac) took the Tag titles from Breezango. Fandango & Tyler Breeze will get a chance to win the belts back next Wednesday, but we probably won’t be seeing Drake Maverick & Killian Dain on Nov. 11.

That’s because Dunne kicked their asses like they owed him money on Nov. 4 - stretching & stomping Maverick and kicking a car door into Dain’s face.

Must be pent-up resentment from being forced to do the Broserweights gimmick with Matt Riddle. Killian can probably relate.

We got an update on the latest victims of the self-styled “Kings of NXT” in Matt Camp’s latest NXT Injury Report. Hereit is, and a list of what it covers:

  • Killian Dain: Multiple facial contusions and oral lacerations; not cleared
  • Drake Maverick: Body contusions and bruises; symptoms being monitors, but cleared “as comfort allows”
  • Akeem Young: Hyperextended arm; no status given because he probably won’t be on TV next week anyway
