Perhaps looking to press their advantage they clearly identified with Halloween Havoc, on Nov. 4 NXT moved forward with setting up big matches for four of the stars of last Wednesday’s shows.
Io Shirai retained her Women’s title in a brutal match with Candice LeRae, but didn’t waste any time issuing a challenge for her next defense. Shirai said there’s only one thing left that she has to do in her NXT, and that’s beat Rhea Ripley one-on-one.
Ripley, victorious last week in a slobberknocker with Raquel González, didn’t waste any time accepting.
Meanwhile, the woman Shirai beat turned her attention to Halloween Havoc’s host. Shotzi Blackheart ran in to keep Candice LeRae’s Ghostface-d ally from helping her to win the Women’s title, so LeRae stole Shotzi’s beloved mini-tank and ran it over somewhere in the streets of Central Florida.
Blackheart, who rides the tank to the ring in honor of a family member serving in the military overseas, was distraught.
No word on when the next steps in these feuds will be taken, but there’s supposed to be a TakeOver on Dec. 6...
