Mickie James’ bad luck continues

Gaw TV on YouTube

Mickie James was recently involved in a controversial finish during a championship match against Asuka on the Sept. 14 episode of Raw. The referee apparently thought James was injured and so he ended the match earlier than planned, with Mickie James looking on in consternation. James then lost a match against Zelina Vega one week later, and she has not been on television since.

There’s a reason for that. Mickie revealed on her Grown Ass Women channel on YouTube that she is going to be out for a few weeks with a broken nose:

“Legit broke my nose in a match, so now I can’t wrestle for a couple weeks...It wasn’t severe. It wasn’t like my nose was blasted across my face. It was more like a curve and I can’t breathe out the one side...Honestly it’s felt like I’ve had like a sinus pressure headache kind of allergy something for the last couple days.”

Mickie was allowed to record the procedure when her nose was fixed. The video doesn’t get too graphic before cutting away, but the doctor appears way too eager to shove giant needles and screwdriver-looking tools inside Mickie’s nose. Mickie said everything went fine, and that she felt more pressure than pain.

It’s a bummer that Mickie will be out for a few weeks. But considering some of the gruesome injuries going around WWE right now, perhaps missing a few weeks isn’t all that bad of a break.

Get well Mickie, and we hope to see you back on Raw (or SmackDown, if drafted there) soon!
