It looks like Randy Orton will get another shot at the WWE championship

@WWEonFOX

Although WWE is just days away from the start of its next Draft, that isn’t stopping them from booking matches for the next pay-per-view.

The latest addition to the upcoming Hell in a Cell event scheduled for Sun., Oct. 25, 2020, from the ThunderDome at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, is Randy Orton once again challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE championship, this time in a Hell in a Cell match.

The challenge was laid down by Orton and all but accepted by McIntyre on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

It’s entirely possible one of the two will be moved to Friday Night SmackDown, but this particular match type is made for feuds like the one these two have played out over the past few months. Orton hasn’t been successful in said feud, losing to McIntyre at both SummerSlam (in a straight up singles match) and Clash of Champions (in an Ambulance match), but it’s been a compelling enough program to follow it through to the end.

WWE hasn’t made it official just yet but it’s clear that’s where they’re headed.

Here’s the updated Hell in a Cell match card:

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Usos (Universal championship)
  • Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton (WWE championship)
