The WWE Performance Center gets a new name and a fresh look

Triple H told media this past week during his usual conference call that we would see an entirely new look for the NXT TakeOver 31 event scheduled for tonight (Sun., Oct. 4, 2020) in Orlando. Now we know exactly what he was talking about.

Indeed, WWE gave Sports Illustrated the story, who are reporting that the Performance Center has been rebranded and will now be known as The Capitol Wrestling Center. It’s also been gutted and re-designed to give it a fresh new look and feel.

Triple H commented on as much:

“The Capitol Wrestling Center captures the feel and the vibe of NXT. We will have all the bells and whistles of the ThunderDome, but we’ll keep that NXT feel. It’s edgier, darker and raw—you’re walking into the ultimate heavy metal soundstage.”

It was also confirmed there will be a limited number of fans in attendance for TakeOver this evening.

We’ll get our first look at the place with tonight’s event. You can follow along with all the coverage of the show right here.
