Seems WWE will be leaving Orlando after Survivor Series

We’ve heard different things about WWE’s plans after their current contract with Orlando’s Amway Center expires.

But with ESPN’s sources saying the Orlando Magic could need the arena for a proposed NBA restart in December, it doesn’t seem Amway will be on the table past their current contract. Florida-based reporter Jon Alba tweeted the amended contract between WWE & the venue this morning, and it shows the deal ends on Nov. 24, which means the Survivor Series fallout episode of Raw would be the last show taking place in ThunderDome.

Or this iteration of ThunderDome, anyway. There’d been reports WWE was exploring the possibility of traveling again after leaving Amway. Tweets from WrestleVotes this morning indicate the company may just be looking to move the entire ThunderDome set-up to a location that (a) they wouldn’t have to share with an NBA, NHL, or college team or teams, (b) could support the technical and physical requirements of their current production, and (c) be in or near a travel hub so talent, crew, and management could fly in every week.

Illinois, Texas, and North Carolina were allegedly discussed as options over the weekend.

More as we have it...
