WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 26
Storm the master-marathon I’ll fly through, by flash and thunder-fire I’ll survive, then I’ll defy the laws of nature and come out alive and liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a recap of the WWE Championship match from Hell in a Cell last night.
Thence to the intro video.
Drew McIntyre makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He says he’s been thinking about the best words to express how he feels after losing the WWE Championship, and the truth is he has no excuses, just a promise— he’ll be champion again. He quotes Rocky, saying it’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward, and that’s how he lives his life.
Every time he gets knocked down he gets back up twice as strong. And why is he in such a good mood? Surely he should be angry, he fell off the Cell and lost his title, but here’s the thing— if you could read his mind right now, you’d be scared.
Enter newly crowned Mr. Money in the Bank the Miz and his pal John Morrison.
They go through the credentials of Drew’s career and tell him he doesn’t have to worry about wrestling Randy Orton again because he’s got the briefcase and he intends to cash in on Randy Orton successfully once again. He recounts his cash-in and reminds us of Angry Miz Girl and talks about celebrating that night with Maryse.
And what if McIntyre had won at Hell in a Cell?
He’d be outnumbered right now and being cashed in on, which would put him in the same spot he’s in now anyway. They keep taunting Drew and he headbutts Miz to the mat before dropping Morrison with a right hand and following it up with a series of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes! Miz recovers and hits Drew in the injured knee long enough for him and his buddy to run away!
Commentary talks up a series of qualifying matches for Team Raw at Survivor Series.
AJ Styles makes his entrance with his huge bodyguard to send us to break.
Back from commercial, AJ Styles gets on the mic.
He’s out he’s 2-0 in two weeks on Raw and he’s dominating everyone. It’s the return of the Phenomenal Era, and he’s sure Raw missed him. He says he shouldn’t need to prove himself to anyone to get on Team Raw at Survivor Series and in fact he should be the Captain of Team Raw.
He talks about how his bodyguard doesn’t like to be looked at or spoken to, and says we can take that as a warning before moving on to running Jeff Hardy down.
AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy (Team Raw Survivor Series Qualifying Match)
Styles striking away out the gates, putting Hardy into the ropes, whip across, duck a lariat, Jeff slides to the floor, AJ gives chase, back inside, slingshot dropkick! Hardy up on the second, diving crossbody onto AJ’s bodyguard. The giant man cradles Jeff like a baby and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Styles in control, sheerdrop brainbuster... NO DICE! AJ to the apron, but Hardy moves out of range so he comes back in. Sidestep the charge, Manhattan Drop to the double leg drop to the basement dropkick to the big splash! Styles comes back with the Ushigoroshi, jawbreaker and a Russian legsweep in return, leg drop prawn hold, AJ kicks out!
Spin-out Argentine powerbomb... HARDY KICKS OUT! Styles Clash blocked, Twist of Fate denied, sidestep the Pele kick, schoolboy, only a two count! Front kick, sitout Gourdbuster and Hardy is rolling! Distracted by the bodyguard, Jeff up top and AJ cuts him off! To the apron, shoving Hardy into the post, clotheslining him back inside, lining him up...

Post-match, Elias breaks a guitar across Hardy’s back!
R-Truth is interviewed backstage.
He says everybody’s trying to get their hands on his baby, but his would-be challengers are having a tag match tonight, so he’s going to be at ringside scouting them. He says he lives dangerously, and in fact his full name is R. Franklin Dangerously Copperpot Truth.
And on that bombshell, we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a hype reel for WWE’s efforts to promote breast cancer awareness.
Akira Tozawa & Drew Gulak vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado)
Tozawa and Dorado to start, Drew and Akira dominating early and R-Truth comes down as promised to do some talent scouting. Tozawa from behind but he kicks out! Truth attacks Akira, Metalik dives on him and misses, he comes in the ring, Lince with a superkick but Gulak pulls him off the cover! Drew with a cover of his own, no dice!
Lince dives in...
Lucha House Party win the tag match by pinfall with a diving splash from Lince Dorado on Drew Gulak.
Truth fends off a few more challenges for his title and gets away!
We cut to Huskus the Pig being horny over a plate of assorted cakes and confections to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we go to the Firefly Fun House.
All the puppet pals are having snacks and Bray Wyatt is dressed as the Mad Hatter. He welcomes us to his mad tea party and Rambling Rabbit tells him to cheer up. He says it’s not that kind of mad and their special guest is about to arrive.
It’s Alexa Bliss and she’s brought the tea! She made it extra special just for Rabbit and says it’s got strawberry, peach, sugar, and a little secret ingredient in it. He presses her for the secret and she admits that it’s arsenic, at which point we cut to Rabbit, poisoned and dying. Bray says she’s fitting right in because she’s mad, and she asks how he knows.
He says she must be or she would have never come here, because this is a magical place where He comforts you and heals you, and there’s only one thing you have to do— let him in. She says the fun is just beginning because she gets to chat with Randy Orton on A Moment of Bliss later tonight. Rambling Rabbit gets up and says he’s alright after all, which gets Bray to club him to death with a strange bludgeon.
We get a recap of Keith Lee vs. Braun Strowman from last week.
Keith is interviewed backstage.
He says there’s no question about what Braun did last week— he couldn’t beat him clean, so instead of losing like a man he took a cheap way out. He likes to call himself a monster, but the next time they meet, he’ll show him a real monster. But not tonight, tonight is about destroying Elias and moving on to Survivor Series.
Back from commercial, five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce is walking when he runs into Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
Nia says there’ll be no need for qualifying matches for the women’s team at Survivor Series because she’s made a list as team captain. He takes it and says he’ll take it under advisement but she’s not captain. Shayna presumes that SHE is team captain and gives him her own list, which Jax is not on.
Adam says he’s going to take both lists and make an announcement before the end of the night.
Elias is in the ring to play a concert to a bunch of LED screens. Yippee.
He says he’s tasting sweet victory and celebrating his new album, out now, which he claims is at number two on the charts. He launches into a song but gets cut off by his opponent’s entrance.
Elias vs. Keith Lee (Team Raw Survivor Series Qualifying Match)
Lee in hot, test of strength, wrenching Elias by the arm, whip across, leapfrog, drop down, freight train crossbody wipes the Drifter out! Action to the floor, Keith pounces Elias over the announce table and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Lee is in control with a kneeling armbar applied on Elias. Up for the Spirit Bomb but the Drifter counters to a Frankensteiner! Off the ropes with a big knee and Keith falls to the apron! Ramming Lee into the post a few times, back inside, double axehandle off the top, only a two count!
Keeping the pressure up, clawing at Lee’s face, mule kick out of the corner, swinging neckbreaker, only two! Elias up top but Jeff Hardy’s music hits for the distraction! Keith with a military press slam, pop him up...
Keith Lee wins by pinfall with the Spirit Bomb to qualify for Survivor Series.
Post-match, Jeff Hardy actually shows up to clock Elias across the back with a guitar.
Backstage, the Hurt Business accost a crew member for trying to us “their” bathroom and he runs off scared to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we get another recap of the main event of Hell in a Cell, because Raw is three hours long. (Three hours long.)
Randy Orton is interviewed backstage. He says he doesn’t care who you are, at the end of the day there’s only one Randy Orton and the only people that need to be concerned are those who cross him.
We get a video package for Retribution.
The Hurt Business make their entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, the Hurt Business cut a promo.
Montel Vontavious Porter says when Retribution showed up, everybody else ran away, but they stood their ground. Bobby Lashley says they didn’t see a threat, they saw an opportunity, and Raw is an asset of theirs. A good businessman knows you never do something for free, so they went to the powers that be and offered to take the fight to Retribution.
And once they take Retribution out, they’ll be looking for their payment in gold.
Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, Montel Vontavious Porter, & Shelton Benjamin) vs. Retribution (Mace, Mustafa Ali, SLAPJACK, & T-Bar) (Elimination Match)
Lashley and T-Bar to start, collar and elbow, working around the ring, Bob backs him in the corner and lights him up with punches when he tries to break dirty! Taking him across, beating on him a bunch more, T-Bar comes back with clubbing blows and overhead elbows, whip across, duck the lariat, shoulder block knocks the Retribution man down!
Front chancery, T-Bar backs him into the corner but Lashley gets the reverse STO after a brief struggle! Taking him into the corner, tag to Porter, tag to Mace and Retribution takes control of the match. Working MVP over, but he fights out and drops SLAPJACK with a boot and an exploder suplex only for Ali to break the pin up!
Reckoning on the apron scratching at her arms for the distraction, she screams and collapses and SLAPJACK strikes...
SLAPJACK eliminates Montel Vontavious Porter by pinfall with a schoolboy pin.
Reckoning continues to writhe and scratch as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Lashley has SLAPJACK locked down in a waistlock and we see footage of Reckoning getting up and dusting herself off during the commercial break, which lead referee Darrick Moore to throw her out. SLAPJACK with elbows, tossed into the corner, boot up on the charge, leaping in but Bob catches him...
Bobby Lashley eliminates SLAPJACK by pinfall with the spear.
T-Bar comes right in and takes the fight to Lashley, they go to the floor and brawl over the barricade as Moore counts...
Bobby Lashley and T-Bar are both eliminated by countout.
Mace in with Alexander, Cedric lighting the big man up with strikes but he gets laid out with a leg lariat! Mace punching away in the corner, big uppercut, Alexander wants the tag, dropkick takes Mace’s leg out, clear the apron, he gets goozled, kicked off the ropes, big boot and a blind tag! Neuralyzer sets Shelton up...
Shelton Benjamin eliminates Mace by pinfall with Paydirt.
Ali all alone now, begging off before Benjamin hits him with rights, off the ropes, duck a lariat, caught into the fallaway slam! Tag to Alexander, working Mustafa over, putting him into the turnbuckles and clubbing him with punches. Cedric to the floor, Ali gets a steel chair and hits him with it...
Mustafa Ali is eliminated by disqualification, leaving the Hurt Business as the winners of the match.
Post-match, Shelton chases after him and MVP and Lashley return down the ramp but Mustafa makes a break for it through the crowd area!
Backstage, Angel Garza is trying to chat Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke up.
Mandy says Otis will bounce back and they’re still close, so Angel shifts his focus to Dana briefly before turning to Nia Jax as she arrives with Shayna Baszler. He tries Shayna too but she’d just break him in half so Jax takes the rose from him and he walks off.
The tag champs are here to talk about Survivor Series, but Dana and Mandy tell them when they’re put on THEIR team, they better fall in line. The champs treat it like a joke and so they leave. Shayna asks Nia if she’s seriously entertaining Garza and she says why not.
Drew McIntyre makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we get recaps of both our opening segment AND Miz’s match from last night, so... (Three hours long.)
Drew McIntyre vs. the Miz
Morrison with the distraction, Miz tries to pick the leg but McIntyre blocks him and throws him into the corner. Lighting him up with chops, right hands, demanding he tell him a joke but the A-Lister hits him in the knee to try and rally. The rally fails, Drew dumps him to the floor and chops him against the barricade!
Miz puts McIntyre’s ribs into the steel, back inside, the Scotsman dry heaving, the A-Lister with kicks in the corner, duck a lariat, kick to the knee and the basement DDT connects... ONLY A ONE COUNT! Choking Drew over the ropes, Johnny Raw with the cheap shot, Miz with a running boot, right hands, shoulder kneebreaker in the corner!
Wrenching Drew’s leg over the ropes, kicks in the corner, McIntyre with a series of lariats, whip across, overhead belly-to-belly and then another one! Jumping neckbreaker, kip-up, the Scotsman fired up, Future Shock denied and the A-Lister passes him to the floor! Morrison tries to clock him with the briefcase but Drew boots him down and throws the case into the pit near the stage!
Back inside, Miz with a nearfall but McIntyre runs the ropes...
Drew McIntyre wins by pinfall with the Claymore.
Matthew McConaughey is shown in the ThunderDome for some reason.
We go backstage with New Day but they’re dressed as Street Profits to call them out for their champion vs. champion Survivor Series match. Kofi Kingston makes the mistake of going full Angelo Dawkins and Xavier Woods as Montez Ford talks about going one on one with King Baron Corbin to become King of the Ring but that’s not actually the match.
Asuka rolls up to add her unique seasoning to the segment and say the Profits’ catchphrase. New Day shift adeptly to hyping her match against Sasha Banks up as well as Orton vs. Reigns.
The Hurt Business roll up to say they have their eyes set on the tag titles. Asuka says they’ll try and they’ll fail and asks if they know why, the answer to which is because New Day rocks.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, Drew McIntyre is interviewed backstage.
He says beating Miz can be the first step to getting his title back and he’ll take as many steps as he needs. And since Randy Orton is on Moment of Bliss tonight, he’s going to give the Drew McIntyre guarantee that his moment will not be one of bliss.
Five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce is in the ring with fellow road agent Pat Buck.
He announces the five women that will be on Team Raw at Survivor Series— Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and...
Nia Jax interrupts and asks that the team captain be allowed to announce the fifth member. All four women in the ring bicker over who that is, and Adam busts in to say that the fifth member will be settled in a four-way match tonight between Lana, Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce, and Nikki Cross, beginning right now!
Lacey Evans vs. Lana vs. Nikki Cross vs. Peyton Royce (Team Raw Survivor Series Qualifying Match)
All-out chaos to start and to send us to break!

Tornado DDT to Lacey and Nikki Cross is fired up! Headed up top, diving crossbody for two on Royce! Lana ties Cross up in the ropes, a kick connects, Lacey drops her with the Woman’s Right, Nikki with a cover, Royce breaks it up, reverse roundhouse to Evans! Hooking Cross, Widow’s Peak ON Lacey Evans... SO CLOSE!

Lana wins by pinfall with a lateral press on Nikki Cross to qualify for Survivor Series.
Lana goes and hugs Nia Jax to celebrate and you know it... SAMOAN DROP THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!
Randy Orton is interviewed backstage and says he’s still going to appear on A Moment of Bliss tonight.
He’s not afraid of the Fiend— if he wants to show his ugly-ass face tonight, that’s fine with him because he’d be happy to introduce him to the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment... RKO.
Matt Riddle makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we get some hype for tonight’s episode of Raw Talk.
Retribution get a promo where Mustafa Ali says they’re not a team, they’re a mission.
They’re willing to sacrifice everything for that mission, so remember— they win when you suffer.
Matt Riddle vs. Sheamus (Team Raw Survivor Series Qualifying Match)
Sheamus with a side headlock, into the ropes, Riddle turns him around and gets under him for a spinebuster! Sheamus scrambles away and takes a breather on the floor before going back inside for the headlock takeover. Grinding Riddle down on the mat, reversed to a triangle choke but Sheamus pins him for the break.
Sheamus with a spinebuster of his own, cover for two and into a double wristlock! Matt posts to his feet and counters with a Karelin lift! Pick the arm, double wristlock of his own but Sheamus counters with the Irish Curse! Suplex into the ropes, Beats of the Bodhran, Riddle counters with an armbar in the ropes!
Back body drop puts Sheamus to the floor, Penalty Kick off the apron sets up a corkscrew Asai Moonsault that sends us to break!
Back from commercial, Sheamus has Riddle trapped, grinding him down on the mat in an armbar. Big backbreaker for two and right back to the armbar, with a little bit of nosework tossed in for funsies. Duck a lariat, Riddle with palm strikes, a boot, a Pele kick, kip-up, big roundhouse kick! Penalty Kick, high jump senton... NOPE!
Charging forearms into the corner, the Celtic Warrior blocks the exploder and hits a vicious knee strike... NOT ENOUGH! In the turnbuckles, jockeying for position... RIDDLE WITH AN EXPLODER SUPERPLEX FOR A TIGHT TWO COUNT! Sleeper hold applied, Sheamus clawing for the ropes but he can’t get them so he rams Matt’s back into the turnbuckles until he breaks!
Back to the sleeper, Sheamus slings him aside, he sidesteps the Brogue Kick, bridging German suplex... NO GOOD! Back and forth...
Sheamus wins by pinfall with the Brogue Kick to qualify for Survivor Series.
We see Randy Orton walking backstage to send us to break.
Back from commercial, Alexa Bliss welcomes Randy Orton to A Moment of Bliss.
Randy says he wasn’t surprised that he won last night but if you wanna talk about surprises, does Bliss have one for him? She says no surprises, she’s just a good talk show host and he and Drew McIntyre burned the house down last night. Orton takes note of her phrasing and says he knows Bray Wyatt better than anybody and he knows he’s close so he’s going to ask just once, where is the Fiend?
Alexa just smiles and giggles at him.
Enter Drew McIntyre.
He gets in the ring and brawls with Orton, pushing him back into the corner to put boots to him while Bliss laughs and laughs. Drew clears the set while Alexa sits in the turnbuckles, going back to Randy and lying in wait for the Claymore, but the lights go down stepwise.
The lights come back up red and the Fiend is behind Orton on the stage!
Randy slowly realizes this fact and walks forward, preferring to confront McIntyre than worry about Wyatt! They start brawling again and the lights come back up! They brawl all around ringside, Drew with the advantage but Orton back suplexes him into the announce table!
That’s the show, folks.
