WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 match card, rumors

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Hell in a Cell event set to take place on Sun., Oct. 25, 2020, at the ThunderDome at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, potentially the last WWE PPV show to emanate from here. This is the twelfth time the company is holding this event.

We’re just two weeks out from showtime. Here’s how the card looks right now:

• Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso (Universal championship)

Uso wanted another shot at the title and Reigns agreed to give him to him under one condition: he would get to choose the stipulation. He went with the first ever Hell in a Cell I Quit match. On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Reigns professed that while initially he still had love for Jey, he’s done with him now and putting an end to all this. This is the blowoff to the feud.

• Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton (WWE championship)

Despite repeatedly losing to McIntyre, and having lost his last three matches on PPV, Orton is getting one more shot to win the title, this time in a Hell in a Cell match. If nothing else, this appears to be the end of the line for this feud.

• Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks (SmackDown women’s championship)

They had a match for the title on SmackDown that ended via disqualification, leading to booking this as a rematch to that. During a contract signing this past week, Bayley refused to sign. The match is definitely planned, though, and it will be inside Hell in a Cell.

This is still all that is official for the show, considering WWE had to get through the Draft before establishing some new programs. The Street Profits are going at it with Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode, Lana just earned a title shot against Asuka, and The Hurt Business are still entangled with RETRIBUTION. Otherwise, it looks wide open for other titles/programs on both brands.
