Lana wins battle royal to earn a Raw women’s championship match

WWE headlined this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw with a battle royal to determine who will wrestle Asuka for the Raw women’s championship on next week’s show.

They made clear who is who and what is what with how the eliminations played out. Tamina was out first, followed closely by Billie Kay, who was made to look silly in the process. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke were dumped collectively by the women’s tag team champions, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. The latter turned on the former and threw her out of the match.

Peyton Royce, for what it’s worth, was eliminated during a commercial break.

Bianca Belair was put over in the form of eliminating Baszler, but she immediately went out after via The Riott Squad. The final four ended up being Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Natalya, and Lacey Evans, three of the four having gone undrafted going into the match.

Nattie and Lacey eliminated Liv and Ruby at the same time, leaving the two of them to battle it out. Natalya ended up taking Evans out to win the match.

Except she didn’t.

Lana was never eliminated earlier, and she came in to win the match after previously being put through the announce desk on the outside by Jax. So she gets a title shot next week.
