WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 12

We came here to entertain you, leaving here we aggravate you. Don’t you know it means the same to me, honey? I’m the one, the one that liveblogs this here pro wrestling show for you tonight, folks.

The show opens into the ThunderDome intro.

Commentary welcomes us to the show and reminds us about how the WWE Draft works.

Randy Orton makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He says no matter what happens in the draft, one thing remains the same— he’s going to be locked in a cell with Drew McIntyre and he’s gonna take the title away from him. He talks about how he was the first to pin Drew in nearly a year.

Enter Drew McIntyre.

He says Randy had him beat until he hesitated on the punt, and when he kicked him in the skull at Clash of Champions, that was for everyone he’s ever screwed over, but at Hell in a Cell? That’ll be for Drew. But tonight, he said he was gonna kick the crap out of him every time he sees him, and he wouldn’t want to break a promise, would he?

Drew hits the ring and beats Orton down, right hands and kicks in the corner, but when the action spills to the floor Orton turns it around on him! McIntyre recovers, whips him into the barricade, the post, and chops him down into the announce table! Orton runs away!

Cut backstage to Stephanie McMahon chatting with a crew member to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Stephanie McMahon makes her entrance to announce tonight’s first set of draft picks.

Raw picks Bray Wyatt, SmackDown picks Bayley, Raw picks Randy Orton, SmackDown picks WWE Raw Tag Team Champions the Street Profits, and Raw picks currently inactive Charlotte Flair.

Miz and John Morrison are in the ring for MizTV.

Miz introduces the show and Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose make their entrance.

Rose calls Miz petty for splitting her and Otis up and says he ruins people’s lives. Miz says he should be getting a pat on the back but she’d rather slap him in the face. Miz tries to pick the obvious nit and asks them about tonight’s battle royal, but they’re committed to friendship.

Enter Lana and Natalya.

Lana says if they want drama, she’s the girl to talk to, and Natalya complains about nobody wanting to talk to them. Mandy says if they spent less time on TikTok and more time training, maybe they’d actually win a match, and we’ve got a brawl!

They fight and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Miz and Morrison are still in the ring.

Miz says Johnny Raw is his new guest and they’re ready to hype all the cool stuff they have planned when Lars Sullivan comes to the ring. The heels try to outfox him but the Freak takes control and beats Morrison down.

He says he’s authorized to do a straight title exchange to make it right now that they’ve been drafted, and they trade title belts.

And so we go to break.

Rollins requests that he get the hell out of his ring, but Jeff says since he’s been drafted to Raw, it’s kind of his ring now. Seth tells him he should be focused on his match against Lars Sullivan on Friday and wishes him luck before leaving. Before he can get out of the arena, however—

Enter AJ Styles.

He asks Jeff if he stumbled to the ring and tells Seth to keep stepping. Rollins and Styles bicker at ringside and Hardy takes them both out with a dropkick through the ropes! Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose win by pinfall with an assisted senton atomico from Brooke on Lana.

Natalya yells at Lana in the ring, asking her if she’s really that stupid before telling her she’s done and walking out, leaving her crying in the ring.

The Hurt Business are chilling backstage when Ricochet rolls up.

He’s here for one last match. Cedric Alexander made his choice, and Apollo Crews might get drafted, so he’s got a proposition. They’re businessmen, and coming after him indefinitely isn’t good business, so he wants a match against any of them— if he wins they leave him alone, if he loses, he joins the Hurt Business.

They take the deal.

Angel Garza makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Zelina Vega has joined the commentary booth.

Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode vs. New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods (c) (WWE Raw Tag Team Championship)

Woods and Ziggler to start, Dolph gets a front chancery, turns it into a schoolboy pin but Xavier slips right out. Returning the favor, trading pins, both men using their considerable mat grappling acumen. Ziggler with an arm wringer into a hammerlock, Woods reverses, side headlock, tag made but Dolph drags Kingston into his corner and tags Roode in.

Heels in control, leapfrogs into an uppercut and Kofi gets a nearfall! Cheap shot to Woods blocks the tag, Robert ducks a kick, full nelson slam connects! Tag, leapfrog Fameasser gets a nearfall and sends us to break.

He offers the headline “Elias’ new single off the album Payback headed Jeff Hardy’s way” and says everybody’s forgiven Hardy but not him. Charly Caruso says it’s not proven that Jeff hit him but Elias isn’t hearing it and he says he’s got an album coming out and he’s gonna have a concert next week on Raw.

The Hurt Business make their entrance to send us to break.

Cedric Alexander vs. Ricochet

Ricochet hot out the gates but Alexander turns it around on him, a Jackhammer gets two and he stays on Ricky with a reverse chinlock. Whip reversed, Cedric boxes his ears and picks at the arm, shoot the half, only two! Ricochet with a foot on the ropes, Alexander gator rolls him away from it, shifting gears, hammering him with strikes as Montel Vontavious Porter coaches him from ringside.

Small package nearly wins it for the One and Only, half nelson suplex... NO GOOD! Ricochet up top, nobody home on the 450 splash, roll through, thinking Benadryller, no good! Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler make their entrance to be in the match and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Nia Jax cuts a promo saying that either she or Shayna Baszler are obviously winning, so why doesn’t everybody just eliminate themselves right now?

WWE Raw Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal

They uh, do not take her up on it, instead choosing to swarm her! Battle royal business ensues, Nia eliminates Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose at the same time, she gets swarmed again, and the combined women of Raw and SmackDown, including her own partner, eliminate her in return! Jax throws a fit and Samoan Drops Lana through the announce table!

We see Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre brawling backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, the battle royal is carrying on, Nikki Cross shoving away at Lacey Evans, up top, tornado DDT but Evans counters and eliminates her with the Woman’s Right! Bianca Belair eliminates Baszler, Natalya attacks her from behind, and I lose track of the action for a minute but Evans and Nattie eliminate the Riott Squad from behind!

They’re the final two, circling, Lacey with a kick, taking Nattie corner to corner, back body drop to the apron, slugging it out, slingshot back in, waistlock, standing switch, slingshot back suplex countered! Evans with a knee, Neidhart slaps the taste outta her mouth! Palm strikes, jockeying for position over a suplex in the ropes!

To the apron, still struggling, Nattie rams Lacey into the post but she hangs on and avoids elimination! A kick leaves Natalya hanging, Evans stomping at her hands but she drags herself onto the apron! Neidhart with a powerbomb lift, she swings Lacey into the post and eliminates her... BUT LANA IS STILL IN THE MATCH!

Lana wins, last eliminating Natalya to become #1 contender to the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Post-match, nevermind giving the women’s #1 contender time to digest, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre have to close the show having another middling brawl.

Road agents (five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce, former ROH World Champion Jamie Noble, D-Von Dudley, and Pat Buck) and referees swarm to pull them apart.

That’s the show, folks.
