An important reminder from Bret Hart

On Instagram yesterday (Jan. 30), Bret Hart revealed he’s been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma - the most common form of skin cancer. It can be treated on an out-patient basis when detected early, as seems to be the case for the Hitman.

That’s one of the reasons Hart shared the news.

Bret’s the perfect person to remind us to keep tabs on our health. He recovered from paralysis due to a 2002 stroke via months of physical therapy. In 2016, early detection made it possible for him to get a clean bill of health after surgery for prostate cancer.

So when the Hitman tells you to wear sunscreen and visit your doctor regularly, he knows what he’s talking about.

This one seems eminently manageable, which is great news. But here’s hoping Hart can go a few years without having to share another diagnosis.
