On and off-screen attacks lead to a crowded NXT Injury Report

There were a series of attacks before the Jan. 29 episode on NXT, and a series of attacks on the Jan. 29 episode of NXT. Unsurprisingly, Matt Camp’s latest Injury Report video is full of attackees. It also features of one attacker.

We knew Finn Bálor had bruised Trent Seven’s voice box even before the two wrestled on Wednesday night, so that NXT UK’s pater familias is still dealing with it after Finn kicked his ass on television isn’t a surprise.

Camp has little in the way of specifics after the latest battle in Tommaso Ciampa’s war on Undisputed ERA, but the guys he took out off-screen all make the list. So does Ciampa, with perhaps the only shoot injury of this week’s report (although as were reminded last weekend, who knows?) thanks to the cut he got on his dome while brawling with Adam Cole.

Here’s this week’s video, and a list of what was covered:

  • Trent Seven (monitored for symptoms) - reaggravated bruised larynx
  • Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly (unknown status) - injuries consistent with a pipe attack
  • Tommaso Ciampa - stapled head
