Thanks to our second blood-soaked WWE contract signing in recent days and another Dusty Cup final which saw a makeshift team beat an established one, we now have two more matches set for NXT TakeOver: Portland on Sun., Feb. 16.
First, Tommaso Ciampa wanted to ensure he was Adam Cole’s opponent, so he took out Cole’s Undisputed ERA teammates with a piece of pipe.

He soon found out that he was going to get the match anyway. But this way he got to put Cole through a table and wipe his blood all over the paper after putting his name to it (differentiating tonight’s scene from the one on SmackDown last Friday).
Another day at the office.

Portland’s Tag title match was on the line along with a big trophy in the main event. Former NXT UK Tag champs Grizzled Young Veterans put up a hell of a fight...

... but they ended up getting smoked by the Broserweights. The last of many combos from Pete Dunne & Matt Riddle was a Bro 2 Sleep/enziguri, which was enough to pin James Drake and end a 25 minute thriller. General Manager William Regal made his second on-screen appearance of the night to present the winners with the trophy.
Well-deserved pyro.

The card for TakeOver: Portland now looks like this:
- Adam Cole (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT championship
- Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley (c) for the NXT championship
- Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Bálor
- Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) (c) vs. The Broserweights (Pete Dunne & Matt Riddle) for the NXT Tag titles
If they hold to form, there will only be one more match added to the card. Tonight’s episode of NXT (live blog here) presented a few options. Perhaps since this is the first Sunday TakeOver it’ll be a longer affair?
Stay tuned.
