Becky Lynch finally got her shot to get her revenge on Asuka a full year after she fell short of doing just that at tonight’s (Sun., Jan. 26, 2020) WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
She got it.
Lynch was fantastic in the lead up to this match, putting over just how good, terrifyingly good, Asuka is while pushing her own resolve to prove she can beat her. Becky threw everything she had at Asuka...

... and it seemed as though it wouldn’t matter. “The Empress” always answered back, at one point putting Lynch down with a kick that the referee was going to stop the match over. Becky begged him not to, even holding onto his leg, and it was allowed to continue.
Which is good, because it was a kick of her own, right when Asuka was about to go for the green mist, that put Asuka down long enough to get her in the Disarmher. Asuka tapped.
