We’ll be walking with Elias for a while longer.
That’s according to WWE Backstage — and since confirmed by the company itself — who report Elias has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE.
The exact length of the deal wasn’t disclosed but everyone has been getting signed for longer term deals to make sure they’re locked up and won’t go to the competition. So while Elias may not be used in the main event, or usually anywhere close to it, he’s still valuable enough for the company to want to keep him around.
He missed some time late last year due to injury, being forced to withdraw from the King of the Ring tournament in the process. He hasn’t done much since, though he just recently entered the men’s Royal Rumble match.
