There was always going to be a dropoff for Monday Night Raw viewership this week, considering the National Championship Game was taking place at the same time on ESPN, it was just a question of how low the numbers would go.
Not that low, as it turns out!
Raw drew 2.03 million viewers, down from 2.38 million last week. Considering Clemson vs. LSU drew over 25 million, that’s not bad at all.
The hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 2.21 million
Hour two: 2.05 million
Hour three: 1.81 million
It looks bad but considering the competition, it’s actually something of a win that it wasn’t much worse. Next week brings the go home episode to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view with Brock Lesnar, and a U.S. title ladder match.
