While not quite the week-in-advance card dump they’re doing for Raw these days, WWE has been giving us a heads up about a few matches for SmackDown. For this episode this Friday (Jan. 17) from Greensboro, North Carolina, we already knew about John Morrison vs. Big E. Now we’ve got another return match, and this one has a stipulation that would have fit right in at last month’s PPV.
The returnee is Robert Roode, who showed up last Friday for the first time in a month (he was serving a 30 day suspension for violating WWE’s Wellness Policy). The stipulation is he has to put Roman Reigns through a table to win.
Maybe he will! Reigns has definitely taken a few losses during the course of his program with seemingly never-ending program with King Corbin. Just like last week, Roode, Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & The Revival will have an advantage over Roman, even though his cousins The Usos are back by his side.
But something tells me that even if Roode & his allies win the match, The Big Dog will manage to make him pay.
