The bottom line is, SmackDown’s numbers were up from last week. A big first hour audience gave the show a better average viewership than last week, they were up or even in every ratings category, and they won the night clean in the 18 - 34 demographic. Fox and WWE are undoubtedly pleased.
A lot of folks tuned out in hour two, however. Maybe Sasha Banks no showing didn’t help, but the advertised main event was again King Corbin-centric. Up to you whether you want to place the blame at the base of his throne or not.

As you can see in this chart, that 13% drop in viewers from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern is the biggest since SmackDown moved to Fox Fridays (all data via Showbuzz Daily):
