Of course the 24/7 title changed hands on New Year’s Eve in Time Square

We already knew how WWE’s main contribution to Fox’s New Year’s Eve programming would go, since they taped Roman Reigns pinning Dolph Ziggler after SmackDown last Friday.

But there was live action during Fox’s New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey: Live from Times Square. The I-95 North champ was on hand...

... and you know what that means. Title change! This time it was Mojo Rawley with the roll-up, and a pinfall counted by Maria Menounos.

But as foreshadowed by one of Mojo’s pics, Elias was on hand to sing a tune to Menounos and the folks getting ready to watch the ball drop:

And it was a guitar attack by SmackDown’s resident troubadour that restored order to the WWE Universe, and allowed R-Truth to begin the New Year as what we’re sure he will at some point call the 2020 Intergalactic championship.

We knew he’d get one more title reign in before the old decade ended.
