I want to reach out and touch the sky. I want to touch the sun but I don’t need to fly. I’m gonna climb up every mountain of the moon and find the dish that ran away with the spoon. I’ve crossed the ocean, turned every bend, I found the crossing near a golden rainbow’s end. I’ve been through magic and through life’s reality, and tonight, I’m gonna liveblog this here pro wrestling show for y’all, folks.
The show opens with a video package featuring Triple H, talking up tonight’s show.
He eventually turns and opens a curtain and reveals that he is, in fact, live in the arena!
Bianca Belair vs. Candice LeRae vs. Io Shirai vs. Mia Yim (NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
LeRae and Shirai right at it, brawling, Yim and Belair not far behind, Candice off the ropes but Bianca catches her with the shoulder block! Military press, walking her around, into the press drop! Belair handspring moonsault... MIA BREAKS IT UP! Guillotine choke countered into a suplex, only two and Io breaks it up! Tiger feint kick on Yim, Shirai follows it up with a springboard missile dropkick... NOPE!
Mia with a step-up tornado DDT on Bianca, LeRae breaks it up, forearms and chops on Yim, running backsplash, to the apron, X-Factor on the apron takes Shirai out! Belair hits a fallaway slam, Mia off the ropes... SUICIDE DIVE ON BOTH OF ‘EM! Io up top... DIVING MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR SENDS US TO BREAK!
Back from commercial... TOWER OF DOOM! Slow to recover, LeRae up first, octopus hold on Shirai! Yim breaks it up, Belair hits a spinebuster on her, Io with the double underhook backbreaker! Candice with the snap German suplex, following it up with a Poison Frankensteiner attempt on Belair but she reverses into a facebuster, Mia comes in... CODE BLUE FOR TWO WHEN IO BREAKS IT UP!
Standing switch, Bianca spears both of ‘em! Argentine backbreaker rack, KOD... NOT ENOUGH! Protect Ya Neck... STILL NO! Shirai dropkicks Yim out of the ring, she’s got LeRae where she wants her, double knees in the corner! Double jump but Mia pushes Io down! Yim up top, Candice climbs after her, Mia slips under, jockeying for position... POISON FRANKENSTEINER! Springboard...
Candice LeRae wins by pinfall with a quebrada on Mia Yim to become #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.
Post-match, Shayna Baszler comes down with her lackeys to stare Candice down.
We cut backstage with Velveteen Dream to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we get a video package recapping Dominik Dijakovic vs. Keith Lee, followed by a recap of Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dain.

Cameron Grimes wins by pinfall with the pop-up stomp.
A video package for Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream follows and we go to break.

Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream (c) (NXT North American Championship)
Strong backs Dream into the corner, Velveteen with a front chancery, intense grappling, and referee Drake Wuertz counts the five in the corner for the break. Roddy coming out with shoves, Dream invites more, takedown to the mat, grappling, VD with an armbar, reversed to a hammerlock. Pass into the corner, off the ropes, Dream puts him to the floor with a clothesline.
Roderick bails and paces on the floor as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Dream with a shoulder block into a cover for two, drop down into a pin, to the floor, big slap cuts Roddy off. Back in, dropkick, springboard brain chop! Headed up top, Strong knocks him to the floor and follows after. Back suplex lift backbreaker into the barricade! STO backbreaker into the apron, back inside with a sleeper hold, grinding Dream down.
VD pivots around and turns it into a pin for the break, Strong right in with boots, looking for a Romero special but Dream won’t give it to him so he grabs an armbar, double knee backbreaker follows... NOPE! Black hole backbreaker, jockeying for position, VD thinking Sharpshooter but Roddy dumps him to the floor. Off the ropes, slingshot dropkick misses and Velveteen puts Roderick into the steel steps to send us to break.
Back from commercial, Strong gets Dream up in the corner, jockeying for position, VD with a diving double axehandle into lariats! Off the ropes, front kick scouts the back body drop, superkick follows... ONLY TWO! Fireman’s carry, Roddy slips out, schoolboy, still no! DreamDT connects... NOT ENOUGH! Velveteen up top, Strong rolls out! Up on the apron, trading shots, Roddy gets the Sick Kick in the ropes!
Back inside, desperate slap from Dream gets a hard knee from Roddy! Hanging Dream up in the ropes, nailing him with forearms on forearms, back suplex backbreaker... GIBSON DRIVER! Into a Boston Crab, not quite the full Strong Hold, VD crawling, reaching, desperate... HE MAKES THE ROPES! Undisputed ERA come to ringside at this point, Roderick slugging it out with Velveteen, punch for punch, whip across, back body drop!
VD disoriented, Strong chucks him into referee Drake Wuertz! Dream Valley Driver, clearing house at ringside, Roddy recovers, knee strike, End of Heartache... NOT ENOUGH! Dream Valley Driver number two, Cole runs interference... END OF HEARTACHE AGAIN! IT’S OVER!

Undisputed ERA celebrate together with all their titles to close the broadcast hour of the show.
Unfortunately I can’t seem to log on to the WWE Network to actually liveblog this second hour promptly, but rest assured we’ll have all that covered sooner rather than later.
I finally get the Network up and running and the Network hour begins with a recap of the end of the televised hour.
Arturo Ruas vs. Pete Dunne
Ruas shoots in low, Dunne grabs the arm to block, front chancery, jockeying for position, Arturo nearly gets a waistlock but Peter gets him in the ropes. Backing off, Ruas shoots in with the bodyscissors takedown, armbar, reversed, armbar, force the break! Dunne hauls off with an elbow, they trade strikes, head and arm triangle from Arturo, shot off, drop down, leapfrog, drop down, wicked lariat takes Ruas off his feet!
Pete wrenching the fingers, forcing him down for a stomp to the biceps! Drawing him up, stomp misses, palms and knees, cartwheel into a dropkick and Arturo is rolling! Mounted punches on the mat, cover for two! Running boot, working the hand, wristlock, Dunne breaks free, big palm strikes, catch a kick, wrench the toes, dragon screw! Palm strikes, whip reversed, backflip up and over sets up an enzuigiri and then a German suplex!
Stomp the feet, buzzsaw roundhouse kick... NOPE! Buzzsaw number two, X Plex... STILL NO! Wristlock stomps to the face into a triangle choke but Ruas cartwheels out into a kick and a German suplex... NOT ENOUGH! Big knee, cartwheel, Dunne sidesteps a dropkick and hits the enzuigiri, suplex lift into a triangle choke! Rolling around, breaking Arturo’s fingers! Referee DA Brewer calls it...
Pete Dunne wins by referee stoppage.
We get a video package for Dakota Kai.
Aliyah vs. Xia Li
Collar and elbow, Li with a side headlock, shot off, headstand in the turnbuckles, duck a shot from the apron, front kick, axe kick, roll into a dropkick! Duck a lariat, standing switch, wristlock, Aliyah yanking her around only to take a jawbreaker. To the apron, legsweep, springboard back in for a forearm, charge in, double jump but Aliyah cuts her off!
Xia with a dropkick and a shove, a boot, another boot, reverse roundhouse kick and she’s fired up! Tuning up the band, legsweep, off the ropes...
Xia Li wins by pinfall with a Robinson Special style kick.
Oney Lorcan and Lio Rush are both shown backstage, they’ll be in action later tonight.
Denzel Dejournette is in the ring and Marcel Barthel, Alexander Wolfe, and Fabian Aichner of Imperium surround the ring and wipe him out with a powerbomb / uppercut combination!
(Dvorak No. 9 intensifies.)
WALTER IS HERE! He gets in the ring and stands with Imperium before getting on the mic. He introduces Imperium and talks about how the mat is sacred to them and they’re here to restore the honor and tradition of their sport.
KUSHIDA IS HERE! He challenges WALTER for his title and clears Imperium out until WALTER yanks him into the ring! The Ring General yanks his vest off of him but KUSHIDA gets away!
Lio Rush vs. Oney Lorcan (WWE Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender’s Match)
Lorcan exploding out the gates with repeated uppercuts and a running blockbuster... NOPE! Fired up, half nelson suplex blocked, Rush slings him to the apron, handspring kick sets up a suicide dive! Off the ropes, another suicide dive! Off the ropes... A THIRD SUICIDE DIVE AND LIO RUSH IS FIRED UP! Whip reversed, up and over, drop down, roll under, springboard tijeras!
Matrix evasion, enzuigiri, cover... NOPE! Dragon screw from Oney, chops in the corner, hammer whip traps Lio in the corner and Lorcan hammers him with uppercuts! Rush falls to the floor, back inside, big powerbomb... NOT ENOUGH! Lorcan beckoning him to his feet, fending off punches and chops, pick the leg and right into a half-crab! Lio gets away but Oney cracks him across the chest with a wicked chop!
Drawing him up, scoop and a slam, cover... only two! Chops, Rush out of sorts, Lorcan circling around him, drawing him up, off the ropes, springboard Ace Crusher! Fighting out of a powerbomb, Lio’s bad knee acting up, Oney with kicks, goes for the powerbomb again and plants him, shift to the half-crab! Lorcan sitting down deep, a desperate Lio Rush crawling, stretching, rolling and kicking his way to an escape!
Oney catches a kick and goes right back to the half-crab! Adjusting, stepover toehold sleeper applied and Lio starts to fade but refuses to crumble! Trading strikes, Lorcan fired up, palm strikes across Rush’s jaw, off the ropes... STANDING SPANISH FLY! Lio up top...
Lio Rush wins by pinfall with Dragon’s Call to become #1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
Killian Dain vs. Matt Riddle (Street Fight)
Dain in at the gates, putting boots to Riddle! Fireman’s carry, Matt slips out and hits a German suplex! Exploder suplex follows, high jump senton but the knees are up! Killian gets a kendo stick but Riddle blocks it and hits the Pele kick! The King of Bros wallops him with the stick and gets back body dropped over the barricade for his trouble! Dain with another kendo stick shot, grounded punches, and a senton of his own!
Drawing him up, right hands, Riddle returns fire with strikes as the Beast of Belfast puts him into a door! Fighting to the back, the Forgotten Sons are chilling and Dain throws Riddle into the side of a production truck! Clubbing away in front of Imperium, Matt hits a knee that puts Killian into WALTER and the other guys jump him! The Street Profits and the Forgotten Sons join and we’ve got an all-out brawl!
Impossible to follow in the chaos, Pete Dunne is here, Danny Burch, everybody! Riddle and Dain fight back towards ringside and the guys in the locker room follow after not far behind! Back in the ring, Matt shoots in with a double leg but security pulls them apart?! King of Bros German suplex on security!
The match presumably went to a no-contest somewhere in here.
The ring fills with men just wailing on each other, no quarter asked and none given! Dain fired up, off the ropes... BIG MAN SUICIDE DIVE INTO THE CRUSH!
