WWE Raw results, live blog (Sept. 16, 2019): Clash of Champions fallout

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Sept. 16, 2019) from the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee, featuring all the fallout from the Clash of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) that went down just last night in Charlotte.

Advertised for tonight: The King of the Ring final, Bray Wyatt has come for Seth Rollins, and more!

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the Raw live blog kicks off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

Long ago I wandered through my mind in the land of fairy tales and stories. Lost in happiness I had no fears, innocence and love was all I knew. Was it illusion? Soon the days went passing into years, happiness just didn’t come so easy. Life was more than fairy tales and daydreams, and now, I have to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Seth Rollins making his entrance.

He says last night was a hell of a night but he’s got a lot to unpack. He talks about losing the tag titles and puts Braun Strowman over as being very large and very strong and admitting that he gave him the fight of his life before giving him “mad props.” He talks about how it took four Blackouts and a Pedigree to keep Strowman down. And the way he’s feeling, he’s happy there’s no rematch anytime soon.

When he pulled himself up the ramp he didn’t have time to celebrate before the Fiend attacked. In less than three weeks, he gets Bray Wyatt one-on-one inside of Hell in a Cell! So yowie wowie indeed--

Firefly Fun House starts up on the tron with Bray Wyatt waving and greeting his fireflies. He calls Seth his future best friend and says he’s glad he’s here and super glad he’s okay, to which Rollins takes issue and Rambling Rabbit tells him to run. Wyatt continues, saying people make mistakes and friends forgive, but he never forgets, and maybe that’s why he said hello at Clash of Champions, and maybe he’ll have more to say tonight.

Bray disassociates staring into the camera for a long, long beat before laughing and jovially telling Seth that he’ll see him in hell.

All the graphics are upside down while commentary hypes the rest of the show and then we cut to Braun Strowman walking backstage.

He runs into an interview and he says the next guy to step foot in the ring is going to get These Hands.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, newly minted Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode make their entrance.

They’re followed shortly thereafter by newly crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Revival.

Roode begins, saying when he and Dolph decided to become a team, nobody could believe it. He invites us all to take a good hard look at greatness--

Enter Braun Strowman.

The Revival try to take the fight to him in the ramp but Braun shrugs them off and gets into the ring to go after Ziggler and Roode. They run away and Strowman calls for it... POUNCE FOR DAWSON! POUNCE FOR WILDER! POUNCE FOR ZIGGLER! ROODE GETS AWAY!

Backstage, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are chatting about their win last night and Alexa moves on to talking trash about Sasha Banks and says tonight they’re gonna show her when they beat the Boss and Hug Connection tonight.

The OC make their entrance, they’ll be in action after the break.

Cedric Alexander & Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs. the OC (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, & Luke Gallows)

The OC win by pinfall with a Phenomenal Forearm from AJ Styles on Cedric Alexander.

Vikings and Club brawling in the ring, Erik and Gallows standing, double leg from the viking, to the floor and they just have a mean ol’ hockey fight as Warbeard climbs... SENTON ATOMICO WIPES ‘EM ALL OUT! AJ up top as Cedric recovers, but Alexander cuts him off! Right hands, punches in the corner... AVALANCHE FRANKENSTEINER BLOCKED AND REVERSED INTO A SECOND ROPE STYLES CLASH!

We get footage from earlier today of R-Truth visiting a museum. Kane is also here! They chat for a beat before R-Truth thinks he realizes he’s Larry Bird. Kane, er, excuse me, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, corrects him and offers him a personal tour by limousine.

Baron Corbin makes his entrance to send us to break.

Baron Corbin vs. Chad Gable (King of the Ring 2019 Finals)

Circling, collar and elbow, Gable with a waistlock, wristlock, Corbin clubs him down but Chad goes for an ankle pick and only the ropes save Baron. Fakeout into a fron chancery, Corbin posts to his feet, handful of hair and he punches Gable to the mat! STILL NO! Baron starting to get mad, another northern lariat, but Chad comes off the ropes into an ankle lock and refuses to let go as Corbin keeps trying to kick him away!

A forearm breaks the hold but Gable sidesteps and Baron eats the post hard! Chad up top, missile dropkick connects! Gable follows it up with the rolling koppo kick, another one, a third... CORBIN POPS HIM UP INTO A WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM FOR TWO! Action to the floor, Baron grabs him and tosses him into the barricades, but Chad slips away and Corbin eats the steps hard!

Gable wraps Corbin’s leg around the post repeatedly, dropkick to the knee, repeated forearms, off the ropes... DEEP SIX CATCHES HIM BUT CAN’T PUT CHAD GABLE DOWN! Out and back in, Gable with a waistlock... CHAOS THEORY IS NOT ENOUGH! Moonsault, nobody home, lands on his feet, float out of End of Days, roll-through, pick the ankle, Baron’s got nowhere to go!

Crawling, desperate, reaching, Chad pulls him back in, falls back and grapevines the leg! Crawling, reaching, desperate... CORBIN GETS THE ROPES! Back elbows, tilt-a-whirl countered...

Baron Corbin wins by pinfall with End of Days to become King of the Ring.

Backstage, Street Profits are on the set of Maria Kanellis’ gender reveal party, which will be up next, after the break.

Back from commercial and Street Profits are still presiding over the gender reveal, inasmuch as you can know a child’s gender before they can tell you.

I mean, I’m just saying, I’d wait, oh... 32 years or so before declaring my child’s gender to the world. Personal experience, folks.

Anyway, Maria says the child has been assigned male and addresses her husband Mike, saying everybody knows that Ricochet is really the kid’s dad. Ricochet begs off and says that, while he *would* have, he did not, which leads Kanellis to challenge him to a match.

On that note, we go to break.

She says she thought maybe embarrassing him would get him to defend their unborn child’s honor but she’ll reveal the real father right now. It’s...

Enter Rusev.

It’s Rusev! He gets in the ring and Mike begs off and congratulates Maria to try and get out of there unscathed. Rusev freight trains him and throws him into the barricade a few times before taking him in the ring...
