One of the top matches at tonight’s (Sun., Sept. 15, 2019) Clash of Champions pay-per-view (PPV) at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, featured WWE Champion Kofi Kingston putting his title on the line against Randy Orton.
These two started feuding over the fact that, well, Orton snapped and called Kingston “stupid” many years ago during a darker time in his career and a much younger, less experienced time in Kingston’s. Then Randy, being who he is, got the champ’s family involved to make it personal. Later still, he recruited The Revival to assist in his gaining the upper hand.
Dash & Dawson even won the SmackDown tag team titles from Xavier Woods and Big E earlier in the night.
For much of this match it appeared Orton would follow just behind them by taking the WWE championship from Kingston. He even set up for one of his patented punts, but Kingston managed to avoid it, hit Trouble in Paradise, and got the pin to secure the victory.
And still.
Is it finally time to move on from this?
