This feel likes a feud that needed more than two weeks of build.
Last week Charlotte Flair challenged Trish Stratus to a match at SummerSlam. This week on SmackDown, the Hall of Famer and her challenger got physical. Both Flair and Stratus got a chance to cut promos in the ring together, but none of it really clicked.
Stratus took it to the point of slapping Flair right across her face, and still it felt a little forced.

How can a good old fashioned slap in the heat of the moment not come across as genuine?
On Raw, WWE made the choice to keep Stratus and Flair from interacting despite placing them in a tag match together. Okay, maybe WWE wanted to save a Stratus versus Flair physical confrontation for this Sunday at SummerSlam.
Tonight’s (Aug. 6) slapping on SmackDown cancels out that plan and it just left a lot on the table. This entire feud feels rushed, because well, it is.
Maybe Trish Stratus and Charlotte Flair will make magic on Sunday, but the storyline WWE has given them thus far has been a letdown.
