Billie Kay and Peyton Royce deserved better. Okay, maybe the WWE women’s tag team titles have deserved better for the entirety of their existence.
The IIconics’ four month title reign ended with a whimper this week on Raw. Par for the course, Kay and Royce were booked into a four team elimination match, and were promptly eliminated first.

After the longest reigning WWE women’s tag team champions were pinned, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, Fire & Desire, and the Kabuki Warriors were left to fight it out.
Rose got the best of Kay, but she could not escape the Asuka Lock.

With just Bliss, Cross, Asuka, and Kairi Sane left in the match, all four women put together a fantastic finish. For a few fleeting moments Asuka and Kairi were in the driver’s seat. Having Bliss dead to rights and with Sane climbing to the top rope, a last second Cross distraction gave the new champions the opening they needed.
Sane walked right into a huge right hand from Bliss and then ate a Twisted Bliss for the three count.
