We’d heard reports ticket sales for WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden for Raw and SmackDown broadcasts on Sept. 9 - 10 were “disappointing”. That might explain this announcement today (Aug. 19)...
The Undertaker to appear on SmackDown LIVE at Madison Square Garden for the first time ever on Sept. 10
The Undertaker will journey to SmackDown LIVE at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 10 for the first time ever, beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET.
Combination and individual event tickets for the back-to-back Raw and SmackDown LIVE shows are available now at ticketmaster.com.
Don’t miss your opportunity to see The Deadman rise again when the blue brand returns to “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”
Undertaker isn’t involved in any ongoing storylines, but he was last used as Roman Reigns’ tag team partner against Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules and could be reinserted into either Reigns or McMahon’s current angle (if they’re not related already). Or, he might only be used in a dark match or segment and not even appear on television.
The Sept. 10 show is the last TV before Clash of Champions, and it’s unlikely he’d be booked for a show where the gimmick is that it will be mostly title defenses, but we’re not making any assumptions as Vince McMahon goes into war mode.
Anybody heading to MSG to see the Dead Man?
