During a recent appearance in the Philippines to promote SmackDown, Sheamus was asked about retirement. It’s a valid question, considering we haven’t heard from him on WWE television since April and he’s reportedly battled neck issues.
His answer (via International Business Times):
“I don’t know what the story is with my future. I have no idea, I honestly don’t. I just know that I like have some time off ... I’ve been watching WWE, I follow the product as much as I can. I do miss it. I do miss being in the ring but I’m keeping myself busy, and keeping myself productive.”
He was last seen teaming with Cesaro in The Bar. The Swiss Superman has since moved on to singles action over on Monday Night Raw while Sheamus remains listed on the SmackDown Live side. It’s worth wondering if there’s still a place for him on the roster at this point.
He also mentioned doing more acting in the future.
Have we seen the last of Sheamus in WWE?
