If you aren’t on Twitter, and/or stay away from dirt screens where they write even more about everything wrestlers do there than we do at this here wrestling blog, you may have missed this since-deleted tweet from February:

Wyatt was calling me out for the article you see there, and which you can read here.
I stand by original assertion, which wasn’t intended as a knock on Bray’s current or future work, but was instead born out of frustration. I could only hear so many rumors and read so many things about how his return was imminent when it didn’t seem to be anywhere in sight. The tweet I was writing about came more than a half a year after we’d last seen him on television, and two months before Firefly FunHouse debuted. My smartass nature got the better of me.
But Wyatt may have been underselling himself when he asserted that when he returned everyone would see how great he is. If there was any doubt after he we watched him create the world of the FunHouse, and with it add layers and layers to his character, it was more than proven by everything about his first match as The Fiend last night (Aug. 11) at SummerSlam.
So, Bray, as Happy once told Chubbs... I’m stupid, you’re smart. I was wrong, you were right. You’re the best, I’m the worst. You’re very good looking, I’m not attractive...
And next time you find yourself in the Mid-Atlantic U.S. of A.?
Beverages are on me.
