Weeks ago, news broke that Finn Balor would be taking a hiatus from WWE following tonight’s (Sun., Aug. 11, 2019) SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. That would seem to spoil the result of his match against Bray Wyatt, his first as “The Fiend.”
Sure enough.
Really, it was more about how Wyatt would be presented. That included a new entrance, complete with a new remixed theme song and a new lantern that appears to be a model of Bray’s head. It was all very terrifying stuff.
He kept the mask on for the match, and mostly wrestled like the old Bray Wyatt but far more terrifying.

Wyatt actually did some selling but when Balor went for the Coup de Grace, Bray caught him with the Mandible Claw and that put Finn down for the count.
That was scary.
