Goldberg, a Legend WWE is rumored to want to book like a late-career Bruno Sammartino, was brought back for tonight’s (Sun., Aug. 11, 2019) SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for a special match against ... Dolph Ziggler?
That’s right!
What’s more, they were just the second match of the PPV card!
In something of a surprise, it wasn’t an immediate squash. No, Ziggler hit not one but two superkicks. They each only got a one count, of course, but they happened!
Naturally, Goldberg speared Dolph out of his boots right after and followed that with the Jackhammer — just a few seconds hangtime — to score the pinfall and the victory. It was about what you’d expect from a Goldberg match.
Dolph should've gone for the ol' Hitman Gambit -- A.K.A., wearing a steel plate under a Maple Leafs uniform.

Fun fun.
Before Goldberg could get to the back, Ziggler grabbed a microphone, seemingly called Bill a “dipshit,” and challenged him to come back and “fight me like a man.” So Goldberg came back down and hit him with another spear. Ziggler responded to this by getting another microphone, again saying Goldberg is trash and he’s the best, and Bill coming back out again to pick him up and spear him once more.
