Neck injuries already ended Paige’s in-ring career. Now the 26 year old will be putting her career as a manager on hold due to an operation which is necessary to repair damage done during her short-lived comeback after fusion surgery in 2017.
She shared the news on social media earlier this week:

Not the best pic of me but had another consultation with my fave doctor in the world! @thejuanuribe checking up on my neck. Unfortunately I have the neck of a 60 year old. The first fusion healed perfectly. But I developed another hernia above it after my match in Uniondale. It didn’t get better over time.. One more surgery.
She says this won’t stop her from managing Asuka & Kairi Sane’s Kabuki Warriors tag team:
I’ll be back supporting my girls in no time not going anywhere! https://t.co/tyrKahmAhU— PAIGE (@RealPaigeWWE) August 10, 2019
WWE won’t have ringside while she’s recovering from neck surgery, so if she stays in her current role, she’ll be limited to backstage segments for at least a little while. She also doesn’t say when the surgery is scheduled to happen, so there may be time to write her out for a bit before she gets the herniation addressed.
Maybe we’ll find out when Kabuki Warriors challenge for the titles on Raw this Monday (Aug. 12)?
No matter what, join us in sending best wishes and healing vibes to Paige.
