As the page is turned and the story’s told, from the visions he had seen, the house on the hill with the haunting eyes that call. No one left when madness came out to play its game. If you stay too long, you’ll finally go insane, but me, I’ve gotta liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a hype reel for tonight’s show set to the new NXT theme by Slipknot.
Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs. Undisputed ERA (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) (NXT Tag Team Championship)
Dawkins and O’Reilly to start, circling, collar and elbow, breaking the hold, Kyle jaws at him and Angelo backs him into the corner! Referee Drake Wuertz counts him off, dirty break with a head pat and KOR slaps the taste out of his mouth! Test of strength, Dawkins catches the kick, big spinebuster into a cradle takedown. Waistlock, O’Reilly, shoulder block, leg pick and a tag to Fish. Bobby in with punches, whip, leapfrog, shoulder block and Angelo tags Ford in.
Whip into a dropkick, snapmare, wristlock and a tag to Dawkins, diving double axehandle. Quick tags, arm wringer from Montez leads to trading rights and Fish laying it into him. Dumping him to the floor, tag to O’Reilly and he cuffs Ford with a northern lariat! Muay Thai knees, punches in the corner, KOR running hot! Whip reversed, up and over denied, arm drag blocked, leapfrog, standing moonsault, nobody home but Montez lands on his feet!
Hip toss sends an interfering Fish running, big dropkick takes O’Reilly out, tag to Dawkins, off the ropes, leapfrog seated senton into a wheelbarrowed KOR! Taking Bobby out, but Kyle gets the neck snap over the top rope! Ford trying to run interference and Fish kicks his leg out of his leg! Dawkins with forearms, whip, O’Reilly bails to the floor! Back inside, blind tag to Bobby but Angelo nails him with the Stun Gun!
Fish manages to take Dawkins out, running knee in the corner, charging forearm after KOR tags in, strike rush ends in a legsweep! Knees to the ribs, elbow to the kidneys, sliding knee off the ropes! Tag to Bob, slingshot senton... NOPE! Snap suplex, still just two, he follows it up with a Samoan drop and a leglock for the tag. O’Reilly in with a stomp, mounted palm strikes into grounded punches!
Dawkins slugging it out forearm for forearm with KOR, a kick lays him low and Kyle tags Fish in. Clear the apron, Ford ducks, Angelo with the tag! Ford in hot with lariats, whip reversed, leapfrog, big leaping lariat! Kick for Kyle, lands on his feet off a back suplex and he hits one of his own on Fish into a kip-up and a standing moonsault... STILL NO!
Bob off the ropes, caught into a thrust spinebuster! Montez cool and collected, he’s feeling it, he throws the imaginary elbow pad, off the ropes... but KOR blocks the People’s Elbow! Back body drops put Fish on O’Reilly and Ford follows it with a Penalty Kick from the apron! Back inside, Rock Bottom... NOPE! Undisputed recover... Wheelbarrow underhook DDT into the German suplex... NOT ENOUGH TO PUT THE TAG CHAMPS AWAY!
Achilles lock in the turnbuckles, Ford fights them off but Fish joins him up top. Montez drops him with a huge slap, kicks O’Reilly away but Bob kicks his legs off the ropes and crotches him! KOR with the tag... AVALANCHE EXPLODER SUPLEX AND O’REILLY DROPS THE KNEE OFF THE TOP! ACHILLES LOCK APPLIED, WRENCHING IT IN, MONTEZ STRUGGLING WITH EVERY FIBER OF HIS BEING, REACHING, FISH SPLASHES HIM AND KYLE PULLS HIM INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING TO REAPPLY THE HOLD! DAWKINS SLAMS BOB INTO O’REILLY TO BREAK THE HOLD!
Ford shaking life back into his leg, crawling, he gets the tag! Dawkins pounces Kyle into Bob, off the ropes for the one-handed bulldog! KOR gets Ax and Smash, off the ropes... ANGELO WITH THE BELLY-TO-BELLY! Lying in wait, but O’REilly hits the knee! Blind tag, Dawkins has KOR in place... ASSISTED BLOCKBUSTER BUT FISH BREAKS IT UP! All four men recovering in the ring, rising to their feet, going forearm for forearm!
Slugging it out, wild punches, Dawkins catches a kick and Ford lands a Shinjiro Ohtani spinning wheel kick right on the button! Angelo and Bob out of the ring, Kyle gets to his feet, Montez with a right hand but he eats a rolling elbow in return! Whip reversed, kick puts KOR to the floor... MONTEZ FORD TOPE CON GIRO! Dawkins with the spear, Ford up top...

Candice LeRae vs. Io Shirai
LeRae in hot with a spinebuster into grounded punches before the bell but referee Jessika Carr pulls her off and gets her separated long enough to ring the bell!
Shirai to the floor, Candice with a baseball slide, Io back inside, thinking sunset flip powerbomb but LeRae holds on so she pulls her face-first into the apron and follows it up with a suplex into the announce table! Carr making her count... CANDICE IN AT NINE! Shirai meets her with a basement dropkick into mounted punches! Whip across, flapjack connects, dropkick follows... only two!
Rear chinlock applied, LeRae puts her into the corner, snapmare, tilt-a-whirl headscissors but Shirai lands on her feet and hits a dropkick! Putting boots to her, camel clutch applied with a neck crank to continue to torture Candice! Shifting gears, Oklahoma Stampede style Air Raid Crash... NOPE! Stalking her prey, putting boots to her, LeRae manages to shrug her off and get into the corner.
Back body drop to the apron, trading forearms, neck snap over the top rope and Io heads up top. Perching... CANDICE SIDESTEPS THE MISSILE DROPKICK! Forearms and chops, a good old-fashioned violence party in the corner! Charging in, back splash... SHEERDROP BRAINBUSTER CAN’T PUT SHIRAI AWAY! Off the ropes, Iron Octopus but Shirai manages to stump into the ropes.
Drop toehold puts LeRae on the second rope, Tiger feint kick... CAUGHT AND COUNTERED INTO A HANGING NECKBREAKER! Cover gets two, headed up top and Shirai dropkicks her to the apron! Off the ropes... NORTHERN TIGER FEINT KICK! Suplex over the ropes, Candice dropkicks her to the floor, off the ropes... SUICIDE TORNADO DDT! Back inside... DOUBLE STOMP OFF THE TOP FOR TWO!
Following it up with an attempted Rude Awakening but Io takes her down into an arm-trap crossface! Shifting gears, basement superkick, LeRae with a forearm and Shirai meets her with a hard knee in the ropes! German suplex, Candice hangs in there and returns the favor with one of her own! Springboard... IO CATCHES HER INTO AN EVEREST GERMAN SUPLEX AND NEARLY ENDS THE MATCH THEN AND THERE!
Corner knees from Shirai, she heads up top but Candice gets to her feet, German suplex... LANDS ON HER FEET! Corner charge denied, leg pick, fireman’s carry... REVERSED INTO A POISON FRANKENSTEINER BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH! Putting Shirai up top... AVALANCHE SWINGING NECKBREAKER BUT STILL IO KICKS OUT! LeRae heads up top again, Io cuts her off with a palm strike and climbs to join her... SPANISH FLY BUT STILL NOT ENOUGH!
Shirai losing her mind, raining punches down but a defiant Candice pulls her into a small package for two! Backslide, Io slips out, underhooks... DELAYED DOUBLE UNDERHOOK BACKBREAKER! Up top... LERAE KICKS OUT OF THE MOONSAULT! Raining punches down, windmilling, roll-throw into some kind of capture triangle choke... IT’S OVER!
Io Shirai wins by submission with a modified triangle choke.
We see Shayna Baszler shadowboxing backstage ahead of her title defense later tonight.
Matt Riddle crashes the party, mic in hand and hopping over the rails.
He calls Killian Dain out and tells him to get his hairy ass down here to fight him!
Dain obliges and we got a brawl at ringside! Riddle hammering him with punches and chops, Killian giving as good as he gets... PUMP KICK! He clubs Matt to the floor and referees swarm to break the fight up. Dain retreats, Riddle charges after him with a big forearm, they brawl on teh stage and Killian tries to gouge our Bro’s eyes out! Riddle ducks a forearm, ripcord knee and the running knee follows it up!
Mounted punches, security swarms the stage but Riddle takes them all out, polishing one off with the Bro 2 Sleep! Dain with the freight train crossbody but security pulls him off of Deep Waters after! Riddle with a sleeper hold, piggybacking the big man and the Beast of Belfast rams him into the LED boards until he falls off! Matt right back on the sleeper... KILLIAN DAIN RUNNING BACKPACK STUNNER OFF THE STAGE AND THROUGH SOME TABLES!
Dain has a maniacal smile on his face as referees swarm and help both men.

Pete Dunne vs. Roderick Strong vs. Velveteen Dream (c) (NXT North American Championship)
Dream taunting at the bell, Strong joins in and VD shushes him with a finger so Roddy decks him and sends him to the floor! Trading shots with Dunne, big chop, headlock, shot off, drop down, leapfrog, drop down, big lariat from Peter! Wristlock, wrenching the fingers, placing his palm down but Strong sidesteps the stomp and gets clotheslined to the floor by Velveteen!
The suspenders are off, Dream ready to do battle with Dunne but Roddy yanks Pete to the floor and puts him back first into the apron. Back inside, corner punches from VD, back elbow, up top, turning diving double axehandle! Leg pick, trying for a hold but Roddy gets to the ropes! Pete back on the apron, Strong begs off but the two babyfaces tee off on him with forearms and Dunne throws him into a dropkick from the Dream!
VD holding his arm in place for the bicep stomp, pass into the corner, whip into a back body drop and Strong ends up on the floor! VD with a hip swivel, Dunne catches him, arm drag into a headscissors, Velveteen looking for the Square Compass DDT but Pete gets a flying armbar! Dream fights out, fireman’s carry, blocked, Bitter End denied, Roddy pulls Velveteen into the ringpost balls first!
BACKBREAKERS INTO THE APRON AND BARRICADE FOR BOTH GUYS AND THEN A ROCK BOTTOM BACKBREAKER PUTS DUNNE INTO DREAM! Following that up with a chop, taking Pete inside, cover gets two. Stomps in passing, huge back suplex... still just a two-count! Kneeling bow and arrow, adding a fishhook before letting go for a dropkick and knocking VD off the apron!
Chops for palm strikes with Dunne, backbreaker connects, only two and Dream comes back in with a springboard axehandle! Whip reversed, front kick, lariat connects, Russian legsweep... NOPE! VD hits a backbreaker of his own, fist drop off the second and he grabs the Sharpshooter! Pete up top... DIVING DOUBLE STOMP TO BREAK THE HOLD! Plancha comes up empty after Velveteen bails, Strong in with a dropkick through the ropes... ORIHARA MOONSAULT FROM DUNNE ONTO BOTH GUYS!
Strong reverses a whip from Dunne, up and over backflip, enzuigiri connects, German suplex for VD and he Germans Roddy on to Dream after... NOPE! Wrist-clutch stomps to both men’s arms but Roddy and VD join forces to beat on him for a beat before going to war with each other, three-way enzuigiri fight! Dream Valley Driver, Olympic Slam, X-Plex, all three men down and out!
Up top, Pete and Velveteen jockeying for position, Dunne grabs the fingers but Roddy slips over to break it up! He climbs to join them... OLYMPIC SLAM / ARM DRAG TOWER OF DOOM! Roddy slugging it out with Dream but Dunne catches him with a triangle choke... COUNTER POWERBOMB BACKBREAKER! Underhooks... GIBSON DRIVER COUNTERED BACK INTO THE TRIANGLE! Into the corner, Peter’s got the fingers... VELVETEEN GOES COAST TO COAST WITH THE PURPLE RAINMAKER!
Jockeying for position, Strong with the underhooks again... GIBSON DRIVER PUTS DUNNE ONTO DREAM AND HE LOCKS THE STRONG HOLD ON BOTH GUYS AT THE SAME TIME! He can’t hold onto it, again jockeying for position, Dream goes for the Dream Valley Driver on both guys but the end result is Dunne pulling him in for a big knee strike! Peter wishbones both guys’s fingers... BITTER END ON RODDY BUT DREAM HAS REFEREE EDDIE ORENGO OCCUPIED AND STOPS THE THREE COUNT!
Dunne stomps away at VD, deathlocking the arms... CURB STOMP! Roderick and Peter trading forearms, Bitter End blocked, German suplex lands on his feet, buzzsaw roundhouse but Roddy rolls through into a Boston Crab before shifting into the Strong Hold! Velveteen runs him off, Dream Valley Driver, Strong dumps him outside in turn... END OF HEARTACHE BUT THE PURPLE RAINMAKER BREAKS THE PIN UP... IT’S OVER!
Velveteen Dream wins by pinfall with the Purple Rainmaker, retaining the NXT North American Championship.
The local basketball team is celebrated for recent victories.
We go backstage with Adam Cole where he’s taping his wrists ahead of his title match.
Mia Yim vs. Shayna Baszler (c) (NXT Women’s Championship)
Circling, wristlock, Yim grabs her ear to counter! Jim Breaks Special, knocking Mia down but Yim hits a legsweep in return. Looking for the armbar, Mia fishhooks her to counter, handful of hair, a pair of arm drags into an armbar, corner boot and a cannonball senton sends the action to the floor. Yim punishing her arm, smashing it into the steel steps, trapping her arm and dropkicking the top step into it!
Back inside, referee Drake Wuertz backs her off and Shayna goes to work with knee strikes. Wristlock, folding the arm back and stomping away! Into the corner, double wristlock takedown, kicks to the arm, the champion wrenching it over the ropes and choking her at one point. Leg kick, back to the Jim Breaks Special and then the double wristlock, shoving her off but Yim grabs a schoolboy for two!
Kick to the injured arm almost gets Mia back into it but the champion stays right on the arm and goes back to the double wristlock. Drake warns her, Yim claws the eyes to break and sidesteps a knee. Back suplex, lariat, roundhouse kick, leg kicks, Mia pressing the attack, whip, snap overhead belly-to-belly suplex sends Baszler to the floor... SUICIDE DIVE!
Back inside, tornado DDT... NOPE! Shayna sidesteps, running knee in the corner, another in the middle of the ring... STILL NO! Northern lights suplex fails due to the injured arm but she puts the Queen of Spades face-first into the turnbuckles and locks the Tarantula on until referee Drake Wuertz demands the break! Jockeying for position in the corner, the champion’s arm goes out on her... MIA YIM AVALANCHE YOSHI TONIC ISN’T ENOUGH TO WIN HER THE TITLE!
Wristlock kicks, off the ropes... BASZLER GETS THE KIRIFUDA CLUTCH! Yim peels her arm down and breaks with headbutts! Stepping on her hand... STOMP TO THE ELBOW! Running knee, falling back into an armbar but Shayna keeps her hands clutched! Mia scrapes her foot across Baszler’s face and breaks her grip but the champ is able to float over into the Kirifuda Clutch!
Yim pulling the arm down again, wrenching hard enough to break her grip but Shayna gets a triangle choke... IT’S OVER!
Shayna Baszler wins by submission with a triangle choke to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.

Adam Cole (c) vs. Johnny Gargano (NXT Championship Three Stages of Hell Match)
Collar and elbow, Gargano with a wristlock, shift with a drop toehold into a front chancery and a pin and they stalemate. Side headlock from Cole, shot off, shoulder block, drop down, leapfrog, waistlock, standing switch, O’Connor roll denied, Gargano Escape and Last Shot blocked, jockeying for position and another stalemate as they both go for superkicks and stop themselves short!
Another stalemate in the corner, Panama Sunrise blocked, Johnny on the second, diving tijeras sends him to the floor, dropkick follows and Johnny Wrestling is running hot! Throwing him back inside, Adam picks the leg but he kicks him aside, Penalty Kick off the apron, the followup misses but he sidesteps a knee and Cole hits the steps hard!
Dropping Adam knee-first into the apron, smashing his knee into the apron, following it up with repeated knees to the knee and an inverted Indian deathlock! Slingshot stomp to the injured knee, pressing the attack, Cole with repeated punches from the apron, jockeying for position over the ropes, Adam pulls him out... WHEELBARROW SUPLEX INTO THE APRON!
Neckbreaker follows, knee to the back, elbow to the jaw, clubbing overhand strikes, Rude Awakening... NOPE! Figure four headscissors applied, referee Eddie Orengo making sure Gargano’s okay as he peels Cole’s legs apart and reverses into an ankle lock that gets countered by sending him face-first into the turnbuckles! Adam up to the second, Panama Sunrise blocked and he comes up lame as Johnny suplexes him into the turnbuckles!
Duck a northern lariat, running chop in the corner, short whip reversed, roll-through enzuigiri connects! Back body drop to the apron, Superman Spear blocked, original Last Shot blocked, cross-leg Michinoku Driver... NOT ENOUGH! Chops in the corner, mounted punches, diving double stomp to the bad knee! Spinning toehold into the figure four leglock in the middle of the ring!
Cole drags himself to the ropes and Eddie forces the break. Ankle lock, Cole breaks with a back elbow, fireman’s carry but Gargano slips out with elbows. Adam ducks the enzuigiri and hits a wheelbarrow suplex that gets a nearfall! Front chancery, clubs to the back, float over the suplex, duck the enzuigiri, Cole gets a pump kick to the back! Enzuigiri gets a roundhouse kick, to the second... PANAMA SUNRISE COUNTERED INTO A JIG ‘N TONIC FOR A TIGHT NEARFALL!
Jockeying for position in the corner, sunset flip but Adam’s leg comes up lame... HE STILL MANAGES TO COUNTER THE DIVE WITH A CODEBREAKER AND HIT A MICHINOKU DRIVER FOR A NEARFALL! Back and forth in the aftermath, both men down and out, Gargano passes Cole to the floor but he counters the dive with an enzuigiri! Wheelbarrow suplex countered into a victory roll into the barricade!
Back inside, Thunderstruck... NOPE! Superman spear countered with another kick, Ushigoroshi... STILL NO! Adam punching and stomping in the corner, looking for a chair but when he comes back in he hits a hard knee... NOT HAPPENING! Cole sets the chair up and sits in it for a beat before grabbing the chair again. Referee Eddie Orengo lays down the law and Adam turns around into a superkick!
Johnny’s got the chair... HE WAFFLES COLE ACROSS THE BACK WITH IT!
Adam Cole wins the first fall by disqualification.
Johnny keeps wailing away at the chair, scott-free now that the match is in the second fall and is a Street Fight! He takes a seat while the announcement is made and we’re off!
Cole bails, Johnny throws the chair at him and follows it up with a suicide dive! Adam runs away, Gargano follows him into the crowd and they brawl, Johnny smashing him in the face with a fan’s drink! Bulldog headlock, walking Cole to the interior barricade, smashing his face into it a few times and hitting a double axehandle off of it for good measure!
Dragging Adam deeper into the crowd, Cole blocks a suplex and lands a hard elbow on his challenger only to walk into a superkick! Brawling deeper, smashing Gargano’s face into a road case but he dives off it on Adam and they smash up the timekeeper’s barricade! Johnny clears the announce table, they jockey for position on the tables... GARGANO WITH THE BACK BODY DROP TO PUT COLE THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!
Johnny gets a pair of tables out from under the ring and slides them inside, along with a few chairs for good measure. Back inside... COLE BLINDSIDES HIM WITH THE LAST SHOT! Fireman’s carry... USHIGOROSHI INTO A CHAIR! Smashing Gargano’s face into the turnbuckle, Johnny with the comeback but Adam gets the fakeout low superkick. Up in the turnbuckles, countered... LAWN DART INTO A CHAIR! THE GARGANO ESCAPE IS ON! COLE TAPS!
Johnny Gargano wins the second fall by submission with Gargano Escape.
The third and final fall, by decree of NXT general manager, will be a steel cage match with weapons and barbed wire ringing the top of the cage!
Slugging it out with forearms, Gargano with a discus lariat! Both men grab kendo sticks, wailing on each other... STEREO SUPERKICKS LEAVE BOTH MEN LYING! Up and at ‘em, jockeying for position in the corner, Johnny with a Frankensteiner and a Poison Frankensteiner and a superkick... SO CLOSE! Cole with chairshots, smashing Gargano’s face into a chair hung on the cage!
Kendo stick-assisted lungblower... STILL NO! Adam doing some hardcore feng shui, Johnny fighting back with a fire extinguisher in the corner... TORNADO DDT INTO THE CHAIRS BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH! More kendo stick shots, Johnny Wrestling deciding he wants to climb and get a sledgehammer, Cole climbs to meet him... SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB OUT OF THE CORNER FOR A NEARFALL!
Gargano climbing for the sledgehammer uncontested now, but when he goes to attack, Cole nails him with a pair of superkicks! Adam throws a ladder at him, Panama Sunrise... JOHNNY WRESTLING KICKS OUT! Cole opens a ladder up in a corner and climbs it... PANAMA SUNRISE OFF THE TOP OF THE DAMN LADDER BUT YOU CANNOT KEEP JOHNNY GARGANO DOWN!
Adam with a kendo stick shot, taking his knee pad down, holding Johnny’s face over the back of the chair, Last Shot... NOBODY HOME! KENDO STICK-ASSISTED GARGANO ESCAPE BUT COLE BITES HIS CHALLENGER’S HAND TO BREAK! Johnny drags a table into position, moving the ladder to match and bringing a second table into the mix as part of his hardcore feng shui.
Cole moves away from the drop zone and Johnny clocks him with a kendo stick shot before setting up in the corner and hitting his own Panama Sunrise for a nearfall! Both men down and out, Gargano gets a bag from the cage and pulls out a pair of wire cutters! He climbs up the cage and clips himself about two feet of barbed wire. Adam climbs up top and gets on top of a table that’s strapped to the cage!
Johnny joins him, slugging it out, jockeying for position... COLE TAKES HIM OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE AND THROUGH A TABLE!
Adam Cole wins, winning the third and final fall by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship.
