This past Tuesday (July 23), during this SmackDown segment where Bray Wyatt accepted Finn Bálor’s SummerSlam challenge on behalf of his alter-ego The Fiend from the Firefly FunHouse...
... our social media maven Stella Cheeks asked this very important question:
Is Mr. Rogers Bray scarier than The Fiend? Because YOWIE WOWIE I am terrified rn. #SDLive

I was reminded of her tweet when looking through a photo gallery on the new-fangled WWE.com entitled “Witness Bray Wyatt’s terrifying transformation into ‘The Fiend’”.
On a surface read, I really don’t know.
Kid’s show host Bray feels off even at his most cheerful. When he flips off the charm to look at us with dead eyes and ask to be let in? It’s freaking creepy.
There’s no switch to flip with The Fiend. He’s a horror movie monster. As Bray describes him, “The Fiend is no man. The Fiend is an abomination. The Fiend is power. The Fiend remembers.” Just thinking about it triggers makes you want to do what Wyatt used to implore us to: run.
Here’s the thing, though. Is there a difference? Both iterations of the character wear the “HURT” and “HEAL” gloves, and we saw The Fiend hold them up, possibly weighing the choice before he opted to attack Mick Foley with the Mandible Claw using the “HURT” glove on Raw Reunion.
Might Bray opt to one day “HURT” us, like he did Ramblin’ Rabbit in the FunHouse? Could The Fiend eventually opt to “HEAL”?
YOWIE WOWIE! I can’t decide.
Let us know what you think, Fireflys/Cagesiders!
