A couple weeks ago, WWE promoted Daniel Bryan making what it called a “career-altering announcement.” This sounded like a pretty big deal coming off Bryan and Rowan losing the SmackDown tag team titles to The New Day at Extreme Rules.
Instead of an announcement, Bryan simply dropped the microphone and walked off.
The next week he didn’t appear at all, despite yet another tease from the WWE website that he would reveal whatever this announcement may be. Now we know why.
According to POST Wrestling, Bryan missed SmackDown Live this week for vacation. It’s also noted he has a program scheduled but the tease never should have happened because he was never actually scheduled for the show.
There isn’t much indication regarding what exactly his announcement will be, but there are only two weeks until SummerSlam. He wasn’t announced for Raw next week, which leaves just three episodes of television for him to reveal said announcement before the big event.
Tick tock.
